I hate using Outlook. When I switched from Palm (where I used to use Agendus plus its Windows Desktop which was better than Palm's own desktop), one thing I felt most annoyed was that I have to sync my P800 with Outlook. Many information in certain fields were lost as a result. Now, I don't not even sync my P800 with my PC and just backup occassionally.

I have been considering switching to a Palm based phone. Had the Treo 650 not been rumoured for long, I would have bought a Treo 600 months ago. However, except for the fact that Symbian doesn't have its own desktop, I like on the OS and functionalities (or simplicity) of Symbian more.

Knowing Agendus has released a version for Symbian, I was very happy but still hesitate to buy since as long as the desktop program is not released, I will switch to Treo 650 since a desktop companion is important to me yet I cannot stand to use Outlook.

Is there any plan for iambic to release a Windows desktop for Symbian based device?

This is important to me since if not (never or not within 12 months), I will not hesitate to switch soon as soon as Treo 650 is available in shop in Hong Kong. Many thanks.

Hi,

It is an interesting idea. While you can use Agendus for Windows (Outlook) with a Symbian device, right now we are not planning a stand alone PIM to sync with Symbian devices becasue we have a few other higher priorities we need to work on.

We will continue to monitor how the Symbian market evolves and determine when and if we introduce this.
