View Full Version : Icon Selection For Categories Is Limited

As a user of both EasyNotes & EasyAddress for more than a year, I was pleased to find the upgrade emails for both in my mailbox this week. However, after loading the new versions of the apps, I found that the icon pop-up selection for Categories includes only a group of pre-programmed icons. My previous versions of both apps used the presets plus my own primary iconset (in my case DateBk5) which gave me a much greater personalization factor. Am I missing something in these new versions? The settings don't appear to offer any other choices. No offense, but I like my iconset much better. Is anyone else having this experience?

I generally think that it's bad form to reply to one's own post, but I'm doing it anyway.

As a first poster to this forum, I see now that many others are having the same difficulty that my post addressed, although they are listed as new posts and no one responded here. I hope that the "Ugly Icon" situation can be resolved in these new releases - until then I'm keeping my previous versions installed. (I don't see why the feature would be dropped from the new versions; it worked perfectly well for me for more than a year!) In addition to that, what "stability issues" were corrected in the newest releases?

Would someone knowledgeable regarding these questions please post? I love these little apps & want them to be as useful to me in the future as they are now.

Hi Lauren,

We are looking into this. We will let you know as soon as we have a response for you. And to confirm, the icon set is quite limited and I couldn't find a way to access my normal icons.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi, Matt,

Thank you very much for your response. I anticipate that given the popularity of using one's own iconsets and the demand for the ability to do so, finding a way to restore this previous feature will be an ongoing concern. I look forward to seeing the results!
