Very excited today when i downloaded easynotes for my T3. The only problems are . . .

1. The very small range of icons available and the fact that some of them still seem to be low res. I have Agendus compatible icons loaded on my pda but they are not available.

2. The drawing application is the best I've seen so far for the T3 BUT - the normal drawing pen still produces zaggy lines! All the other drawing tools produce nice smooth curves. What's the deal?

3. When is an oval not an oval? When it's a circle split in two with straight lines in between. Could the oval really be an oval?

4. I find it odd that the tabs on the view/edit screen take their text colour from the background colour of the "Tables selected line" on the main screen. Odd.

These are the only things stopping me from buying a copy right now. These improvements would make this the best memo/note taking application available for palm at the moment. Please, Please, Please could someone help me???

Hi Mark,

This issue has been reported already and we have passed this feature request on.

I'll have one of my T3 toting colleagues check these matters out for you.

4. I find it odd that the tabs on the view/edit screen take their text colour from the background colour of the "Tables selected line" on the main screen. Odd.
Is this a feature request, or???

Please, Please, Please could someone help me???
Will see what we can do.

Matt

In my opinion, this is because of the human hand's inability to draw a completely straight line on a computerized drawing app. The other drawing tools are not free-hand, so the lines are "straight", and not zaggy.

3. When is an oval not an oval? When it's a circle split in two with straight lines in between. Could the oval really be an oval?
No sure what you mean, but the oval on mine is in fact an oval.

Hope this helps, and I hope you decide to purchase. I think it's worth it.

Thanks for your reply Matt, I hope you can help. I suppose issue 4 could be a feature request - to make it possible to alter the background colour AND text colour on the tabs on the view/edit page. As it stands, you can alter the background colour, but the text colour is taken from the BACKGROUND colour of the "Selected Item" on the main screen.

Thanks

I'm afraid I disagree Michael. Try drawing a quick freehand line on Notepad and then try the same thing in Easynotes - the notepad line is thicker, yes but it's also much smoother. Increasing the line width in Easynotes does not produce as good results. Try writing a note in notepad using fairly small handwriting and then repeat using easynotes using the medium point pencil. Notepad produces much neater results. Fair enough, at least Easynotes draws in High res, but notepad does do it much better for freehand stuff. I just assumed that the drawing interface could be refined.

Also, in my opinion, an oval does not have any straight edges. The "oval" which EasyNotes draws does and is therefore NOT an oval. An oblique view of a CD is an oval and does not have straight edges.

Sorry, I misunderstood exactly what you were referring to. Yes you are correct. The same is true with BugMe, which I've used for a long time in lieu of NotePad.

I do believe that the line display could be improved.

I see what you mean about the straight edges of the oval. For me that's not a big deal. I seldom use the shape tools, but for those like yourself that do, it certainly would be something worth trying to improve.

Thanks! Look forward to seeing (and buying) the improved version.
