I'm currently testing this program and rather like it so far, but I have a question regarding note searching (Look Up) if anyone knows. It seems that this only works if you are looking up based on the first characters entered for a note.

I use Memos quite a bit and I usually time and date stamp memos (notes) on my Treo 650 using a keyboard shortcut. The time/date stamp is at the beginning of the note. So far, I've been unable to get EasyNotes to search for a note bacause it will not search for the date entry.

It also appears that it will not search for a specific character(s) within a note.

Can anyone explain the details regarding how the Look Up function in EasyNotes works?

Thanks

Your assumption is correct. Not a bad idea for a feature request though.

One uniqueness to EasyNotes vs.MemoPad is that you can create a Title. I would recommend you name the note something that's not a date. Then on the first line of the memo/note you can put your datestamp.

It also appears that it will not search for a specific character(s) within a note.
Again your right, but I would recommend ClipPro (http://www.pocketscience.com.au/products.asp#ClipPRO). Awesome utility!

Hope this helps.

I do like the Title feature, but EasyNotes will not Look Up a note based on the Title. At least I cannot get it to do so. Perhaps I'm not doing something right, but don't think so. Also, the specific problem is that EasyNotes seems to only search on the first characters entered for a note. If these characters are a time/date stamp, then the Loop Up will not find anything! I can put the time/date stamp at the end of the note, but then I have to remember the beginning characters in order to perform a Look Up. If I have a bunch of notes, I cannot remember the first characters.

I will also check out ClipPro. Thanks for the tip.

It should be looking up by the title, because the when a title is entered that is what appears in the note list.

I just tried it and it works.

You are correct. I was trying so many things I think I got confused. :o

BTW, the little pop menu for a note when you press and hold is very neat. I just discovered this little feature.

Thanks
