The beta manual states that mail attachments (word/excel) can be opened via it launching Fastwriter or Tinysheet. This doesn't seem to work for me. Only thing I get is an "This attachment is stored on the VFS card" message when I try.
Also, If I launch Fastwriter and TinySheet , they do not see these attachments either.
Thanks for any help...

Hi,
Attachments received via synchronzation can be converted to FastWriter and TinySheet formats seemlessly and this is what that part of the manual is referring to.
Attachments can be received wirelessly but unless these are in a palm readable format (PRC or PDB) they can not currently be used on the palm itself other than to be attached to an email that is sent out.

I see, thanks for the reply. While it is a very useful function for the handling of attachments in native file format this way, it would be exceptionally useful if these apps could open these files directly. This would truly be a breakthrough in the Palm world to eliminate the 'conversion' process to handle these types of files. With VFS support more common and the soon to come increase in power of the next gen Palms, I only hope we can eliminate this step.
