Hi,
When I filter by category in the hierarchy option for task view, the tasks that are past due do not show up. This may or may not be relevant but in my other views, I have not filtered anything.
Thanks!

I'm not getting that. Are you sure you have Past Due tasks in the Category you chose?

Hi Michael,
I wish I remembered how to do a screen shot so I apologize for not having that. Here are examples
I filter by the category "computer" and it tells me I should have two tasks with that category. Nothing shows up.
Actually, I need to correct the first post because one of the tasks was past due and the other one didn't have a due date.
I tested the category "errands" and I should have 3 tasks. The only one that shows up has an upcoming due date. The other two items either have no due date or are past due.
Does that help?
Thanks!

Hmm. What are your settings for Task View Prefs?
Regarding screenshots
1. With the view you want captured on the screen, hit Print Screen on your keyboard (right of F12)
2. Open your favorite Photo Editor or even MS Paint or MS Word, and select paste.

Hi Michael,
Here are the screen shots. I am including them as attachments as I don't seen another way to do it.
The first screenshot shows the hierarchy view with the calls category filter with just 1 call showing. The 2nd screen shot shows expanded list view with calls category filter and both calls that should be there.
I am not sure I understand your question about task view preferences. I have not filtered for dates in the other task settings.

Thanks,
The first thing that comes to mind here is that the "Call T. with Smith Company" call is the child of another task.
Change your filter to All, and see if it shows as the child of another Call/Task.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your prompt response and serious effort to solve this problem.
Unfortunately, as this thread progresses, I am getting more confused. I have Palm Agendus Pro 9x and everything filters correctly. For example, let's say I filter by the "computer" category. These are my two "computer" tasks.
1. Write document in MS Word - computer category
2. Buy Food - Task Parent
a. Go online to grocery shop - child of above task - Computer category.
So when I run the filter everything would show up, including the parent of the computer tasks even though it might have a different category.
Does the desktop program not work that way? Because of the way the palm program works, when I ran that filter, I was expecting the parent of call Smith Company to show up along with this particular task, the child of the parent.
Anyway, if you could shed some light on that, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
Vivian
