Looks like a lot of cosmetic changes were made, however, the third monday in february (president's day) is still showing on tuesday. Also, the last weekday in May 2006 is showing as 5/26 instead of 5/31. Will these bugs be fixed in 4.0?

Are you using PDE or Outlook Edition?
What screen view are you looking at?
Here, in PDE, the last weekday in May is correctly shown as May 31 - the days after it in the month views are "ghosted" - much lighter, not showing the color bar, etc. President's Day shows correctly as Monday Feb. 20th.

Can anyone tell me if the calendar bugs are a "feature" that will be addressed in 4.0? If/when these are addressed, I will download and play with betas - but without it, it's pointless.

I'm not seeing this. The dates you provided are correct.
5/31 is Wednesday and 5/26 is Friday.
Can you provide a screenshot of what you're describing?

Enter a recurring event for the third monday in february (president's day). What day does it show up on in February 2006? Tuesday. It should be Monday.
Enter a recurring event for the last weekday of every month. Look at May 2006. It shows friday 5/26. It should show wednesday 5/31.
Compare OutLook vs. Agendus OE. In Outlook these appointments will appear on the correct day. In Agendus OE they do not.
The big question is, what will it take for Agendus to match appointments entered in Outlook? Is a screenshot really necessary to see this problem? This problem appears on all calendar views.
I haven't downloaded any recent Beta's after the first one since I haven't seen that these bugs have been addressed. I really don't care about looking at cosmetic changes if I can't rely on appointments showing on the correct day.

1. I entered a new meeting titled Pres Day on Feb 20 (Mon) 2006
2. Every: 12 Month(s)
3. End On: No End Date
4. By: Day
I went to Monday, Feb 20, 2006 & it's on Monday. I went to Feb 19 2007 & there it is. Am I not understanding you correctly?

don't enter it every 12 months, enter it as the 3rd monday in feb.
If you do enter this first transaction on a monday in 2006, then advance the calendar to 2007 and tell me what day it shows on. If I do this, then in 2007 it's on tuesday. So it seems like the day of the week it shows on is related to the first year that the appointment was added.
I'm using v. 3.22 here at work as I can't affort to install beta's here.

By what method are you entering the event as the 3rd Monday in February?

In Outlook data entry dialogues.

wow - I just looked at the Agendus dialogues and realized that they don't have many options for entering recurring appointments. That's probably why I had decided to use Outlook dialogues -- I assumed that Agendus would just read and correctly handle the Outlook data like every Pocket PC app that I know about.
So Agendus can't handle a lot of American holidays such as:
President's day
Mother's day
Memorial day
Father's day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving.
Maybe in whatever country you live in, appointments based upon the nth week of the month, etc. are not common, but in the U.S. they are.
I wish I would have noticed this during the evaluation period, but the first appointment I entered was always OK, it's just the recurring appointments are messed up.
I can't believe it. I'm uninstalling this now. If ever you will support Outlook, maybe I'll try again sometime. I'm sorry I wasted my company's money buying this product.

I'm sorry you feel this way.
Well what you've stated is partially true. AGW doesn't handle some of the more extensive recurrance options that are in Outlook mainly because Palm OS can't handle them.
As far as your example goes. I was able to create an holiday type event using AGW dialogs EXACTLY as you described, and it appeared as I expected.
Finally you mention "buying this product." This is a beta period. Are you saying you purchased AGW 3.32, and are now trying AGW4 beta?
If this is the case, and it's not going to work for you, simply send a refund request to sales@iambic.com

I won't be applying for a refund, but thanks for the offer.
I just find it sad that none of the above mentioned recurring holidays can be "programmed" to work with Agendus. I just downloaded the most recent beta and they still are off. None of the production versions or beta versions have a fully functional calendar that agrees to Outlook.
I have difficulty believing that the Palm operating systems (of which I've heard nothing but praise) can't handle recurring appointments. If this is really true, I'm glad I stuck with Windows. Now I know why the Treo 750w has Windows on it instead of Palm!
Maybe the calendar will be a priority in version 5.0.
Good luck selling this!

Once, again. I was able to, and have always been able to add holidays that recur on particualar days, instead of dates.

I never said Palm couldn't handle recurring appointments. I said that it couldn't accommodate recurring appointment to the complex degree that Outlook can.
Now I know why the Treo 750w has Windows on it instead of Palm!
First it's a 700w, not 750. Secondly, Palm will be releasing a new PalmOS Treo in the coming weeks/months. They're far from abandoning PalmOS.
Maybe the calendar will be a priority in version 5.0.
We adapt as the other technology adapts, but not faster than the syncing OS/platform can handle it.
Good luck selling this!
Thanks. We're confident it will, if history is any indication.
