View Full Version : Newly created meeting w/ category ignored

Agendus Std 9.06
AGW PD 4 1376

Create a new meeting or from template with category assigned. Sync w/ PC, open AGW meeting appears unfiled.
The otherway works except creating a meeting from template on Windows instantly creates a NULL category which this meeting is filed in.

I hope this will finally be fixed.

Can you please repeat your steps in 1. 2. 3. steps, and be sure to indicate on which platform (Palm or PC) your creating the events?

Thanks.

Ok, here are your 1,2,3 steps to reproduce

My config: win xp SP german
agendus std 9.06 german
agw pd 1376 german
Zire 71 german

requirements: have same categories on palm and on windows

Meeting from Palm to PC:

1. create a meeting and assing a category
2. sync with PC
3. open Agendus and see that created meeting is unfiled

Meeting from PC (w/ PC-created template) to Palm:

0. create a template on the PC with category assigned
1. create a meeting from template
2. sync with palm, meeting appears great

then

Meeting from Palm (w/ PC-created template) to PC:

3. create a meeting from template on Palm
4. you instantly see that this meeting is unfiled

Meeting from Palm (w/ Palm-created template) to PC:

1. create a template on the Palm with category assigned
2. follow Meeting from Palm to PC

Meeting from PC (w/ Palm-created template) to Palm:

1. create a meeting from template on PC
2. you instantly see that this meeting is assigned to a NULL category which remains and has to be manually deleted

These bugs are extremely annoying

they have been reported some time ago but never got fixed.
I hope you will finally do!

bye

I create a meeting on the handheld and assign a category, sync, and the desktop still is "unfiled".

Additional info: Creating the meeting on the desktop will sync the category to the handheld. Then changing the category on the handheld will sync the change to the desktop.

configuration desktop:
windows 2000
hotsync manager 4.1.0
Agendus 4.0 palm desktop version

config handheld:
sony clie peg sj22/u
palmos 4.1
Agendus Pro 8.04

I just tried these EXACT steps in both OE and PDE and it syncs perfectly. Category is assigned on both platforms as expected.

Try completely uninstalling AGW, then...

1. Click on start-->run
2. type in regedit
3. Click on + next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\iambic Software\AgendusForWindows and select Delete
4. If using Outlook Edition, repeat for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\iambic Software\AgendusForWindowsOE

Search C:\Program Files for an iambic Software folder. If one is present, delete it.

Empty Recycle Bin.

Restart computer.

Reinstall AGW

Try again.

UPDATE: We have, in fact discovered an issue with Agendus Extras that could impact Templates, so stand by.

Wizard of OS

I wouldn't even unstall because of this reasons:

1. this bug has been reported more than a year ago, was present in 3.x too and has been completely ignored by the iambic team
2. deleting agendus means losing all prefs I've made like assigned colors and icons

and there is the next bug, AGW is incapable of copying colors and icons from the palm, why? what's the matter.

it's just a pain to set this again manually additionally, the color picker in AGW does not highlight the chosen color in the color window in contrast to the palm version!

The complete reinstall did not affect this problem, but it appears to have cleared up the issue of the triple spaced calendar entries (http://support.iambic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20579&highlight=tripple)
