I have not noticed this before today and possibly a full computer restart would solve it but I am having issues with the TAB key advancing between fields in the "New Contact" Window.

http://support.iambic.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=2245&stc=1&d=1143214798

I noticed the issue this morning as I began work. I am having the "Backspace" button issue moving me between windows versus deleting characters in windows. I am using the workaround to "highlight" characters and then using the "Delete" button. But I seem to have to fall into the issue once a session to remind me. After I saw the windows cycle I remembered and reopened the window from the task bar. Once I got into the window again I began filling out the fields and went to hit "TAB" to move to the next field. When I hit it that time it followed the same issue as the Back Space Key Issue - it began moving me up through the windows changing the focus.

I then exited out of Outlook and restarted Outlook. When I got back in and went to reproduce the error I saw a slightly different issue. Now when I hit TAB to move between fields I get actual TAB movement inside the field (Name, Phone Number, etc.) versus movement to the next field.

I will watch this but I wonder if there is something that the "Backspace Key Issue" does to affect the TAB keys usage.

This is very definitely an issue, and it may be a bug: tabbing used to take you, as in Outlook itself, from field to field. Now it merely jumps a few spaces, as a tab command does. Why was this changed? and was the change deliberate?

This may be off-topic, but what version of Outlook are you using? I'm using Outlook 2003, and my New Contact window looks nothing like the one you posted...not that this affects the "bug", but my New Contact window, for example does not have a tab for linked contacts...just curious, I guess.

Like you, Borgner, I use Outlook 2003, and I have the same new contact window as shown here, along with the link button. I wonder if someone at Iambic can explain this.

This is really odd. Are you sure you have AGW4 installed? Go to Help-->About Agendus

I am using Outlook 2000 SP-3.

First of all, a great job, i like agendus more and more.

I have the same problem, but not only with the contact window. It also appears at the meeting and task window.

Hello,

I also have the same problem. In the Contact-, Meeting- and Memo-Windows the TAB-Key does a Tab and doesn't goes from field to field. The same Problem with shift-tab.

So I have to go from field to field with the mouse :(

Ciao,
Joachim

Here is a screen print of my new contact window...I am running Agendus for Windows 4.00 (Build 1376) on Outlook 2003 SP1. Why my screen is so different from the other one in this thread was beyond me...until I realized that I had the use Outlook data entry/edit dialogs checked. When I unchecked it, I started seeing the Agendus New Contact window...and yes, I have the same issues with the Tab key - it just tabs within each entry field. Looks like Iambic has another bug to fix...buy, hey! that's what we're here for, right?

I could be wrong but it looks like the Outlook dialogs versus the Agendus dialog. You might confirm that you don't have the "Use Outlook dialogs" checked in your Agendus prefs.

Sorry - I was skim reading the earlier posts and didn't read them close enough to catch that you had caught the pref dialog check box.

Glad to hear though that I am not the only one seeing the issue. Sometimes in Beta's you get the feeling that what you are seeing is not a bug but a glitch in the way your computer is working. Nice to know I am not alone in the issue.

Thanks.
