I'm a registered user of TinySheet 4.21 on a Sony NR70V. Everytime I try to hide the virtual graffiti area, the unit crashes with a fatal exception fatal alert.

Here are the situations I've encountered.

1. If I launch the program from another program that has the graffiti area showing (or from the launcher with the graffiti area showing), and then leave the graffiti area showing all the time, I can access a workbook file and use it. The workbook file can be in ram or on the card. It works on either one fine.

2. After accessing a workbook file in #1 above, if I try to hide the virtual graffiti area, it crashes the NR70V.

3. If I launch the program with the graffiti area showing, and then hide the graffiti area while in the list view, it will hide, but if I then try to open a workbook file, it will crash. If I show the graffiti area again before accessing the workbook, it will still crash.

4. If I launch the program and the graffiti area is hidden, whether I leave it hidden or show it, accessing a workbook will cause it to crash.

In other words, the only time the program will work, is if it is launched with the graffiti area already up and if the graffiti area is left that way without ever minimizing it, it will work fine. But the only reason I baught Tinysheet was to be able to minimize the graffiti area! So frustrating! It worked when I first baught it.

To check if TinySheet is clashing with anything else, I even did a hard reset and loaded a fresh new download of Tinysheet into ram (without loading anything else) and it still crashed! It happens everytime.

I sent a ticket to technical support but haven't heard anything back from them yet. I hope maybe someone else here has experienced this and knows how to fix it.

Please help! I love the program, if it would work as advertised. Otherwise, I wasted my money because I already own other palm spreadsheet programs that don't have hi-res+ capabilities.

Hi,

Sorry for the difficulty you have encountered, I have responded to your support ticket. We are not sure why this is happening for you, it is not reproducible on any of the NR70s we have. Also you are the only customer to have reported such a problem.

Possibly it is related to

-having Hi Res assist on in the native Prefs application, though I have tried this as well and still can't reproduce these problems you reported

-having some hacks installed, though I do not know of any particular hack that would affect this

-there are a couple of updates for the NR70 available from Sony's website, though none directly mention HR+ issues I have installed all of them and do not have these issues

You may want to try removing TinySheet from your NR70 and \palm\<username>\backup folder then download v4.21 again and re-install it.

Thank you for the suggestion MonsterCrash! It worked! I deleted tinysheet from my NR70V and removed all traces of it from my pc and downloaded a fresh copy and reinstalled it. The virtual graffiti area now works like it should. I'm sooooooooo happy! I tried a fresh download before but I guess deleting it from the backup folder really made the difference!

Well... the solution only lasted for a couple of weeks. Now Tinysheet is acting up again and doing the same fatal crash error as explained above. I tried removing everything from my NR and from my PC and doing a fresh download and install and it still does the same thing. I have not loaded anything else on my NR since the last fix so it can't be a clash with anything. Now I'm really bummed out again. I hope this unstableness can be resolved soon.
