Has anyone experienced this? I use a dial around service to place long distance calls. Normally when I place the local number and get the dial tone, I should get the Dial Pad icon button in the Treo so that I can continue to dial to the long distance number.

After installing YourCall, I found out that the Dial Pad is missing. Tried it a few times and no dial pad anymore.

Did a zero out reset. Tried again and the dial pad was back so I placed the long distance call. Restored from a backup done a day before I installed YourCall and things still work.

Has anyone experienced the loss of the dial pad when placing the call, especially if you need to use a dial around service?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by a "dial around service."

I would also find it strange the YC would cause the Dial Pad to disappear. If you go to the Phone app, then to the menu & Display options, what is set to show?

When I place a long distance call, I first have to dial a regular local call (local access number) to the long distance re-routing service (what I call a "dial around" service). So, for example, I dial 123-4567. The call will connect and I will get a dial tone. Now, I will need to dial the long distance number (789) 567-1234 and the local access service will re-route my call to the long distance number. This way, I don't have to pay my celluar carrier for the more expensive long distance charges and the length of the call will be charged against my bucket minutes. I only pay the cheaper long distance minutes charged by the "dial around" service. This is how I dial long distance with my Treo or cell phone.

So what I mean is that when I go into the Phone application, I get the dial pad no problem. I dial the local access number 123-4567. Once I hear the dial tone, normally, there's also a button for the "dial pad" so that I can bring it up enter the remaining numbers and also something else (can't remember) on the screen off to the right. But, it doesn't show up. The only buttons I see on screen are just the Hang up and Speakerphone.

That's what I mean. Restoring an older backup before YourCall was installed brings it back up.

That's very interesting. We'll have to investigate this. Sorry for the inconvenience. YourCall may not be something you can use at this time, given your special needs.
