Hello,

it's a long time ago since I last had a visit in this forum or at the Iambic site - but it's a good feeling to hear from your again!
In my Palm OS days Iambic was for shure the creator of the finest software products for this presumably dying platform.

Now it's even better to hear such nice news! We are really getting Agendus for PocketPC! Cool! :D

But I have allready one first wish (looking at the screenshots): please please please dont' make Agendus too "Palmish". You really should make it act and look like a PocketPC program and not like an adapted PalmOS software.
Why use custom scrollbars and buttons? Hmm...

Am I the only one with this opinion? what do other users think?

I don't agree. Agendus needs to be as good if not better than the Palm implementation. Every operating system has its constraints and if Iambic need to re-work some elements of the default OS to achieve the functionality, asthetics and usability we need then they should do it.

Many years ago I was a Palm user (mostly on Treo), then I moved to Pocket PC for the various reasons we all know.
Believe it or not, I delayed for months my jumping ship because of Agendus, by far my favorite Palm-based app.

Yesterday, I read in Pocket PC Thoughts that Iambic will soon offer a WM5 version of Agendus.
You can be sure that the day it will be available I will drop the next minute the PIM I've been using for years on my Pocket PC devices, as I have no doubt that Agendus will be surpassing them on the spot.
I tried the two main PIM apps available for WM and none of them since to fulfil my needs - I got spoiled by Agendus, during my Palm days I guess!

I can't wait to load Agendus on my Fujitsu Siemens T830!

While there will have to be adaptations, I waited for years to switch to Pocket PC. because
nothing could match Agendus. The two leading PIMS, for all they do, still don't come close to the beauty of the weekly view using color bars with an icon that is item based rather than category. Please don't lose this is translation.

I'm in the same boat. It was fun logging back in to the Iambic forums and looking at my order history. I last used Agendus 8 and now it's at version 11! I left Palm OS for Windows Mobile in 2004 and I've never wanted to go back. I'm currently using PocketInformant on my Cingular 8125, but I've always missed Agendus and I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

The reason why I chose Agendus over Datebk all those years ago was that it was feature-rich but with less bloat. I hope Agendus for WM will stay that way, versus PocketInformant or Agenda Fusion which are its major competitors in this space.

This is exactly the view i miss. Pocket Informant is very powerful but ultimately ugly and full of stuff that no-one will fully utilise.

I have to agree PI is really ugly. Too many small elements and uncompatiable colors in one page make the interface looks very uncomfortable. Agenda one is another story, actually agenda one from developerone is a beauty (the one hand operation of agenda one is awesome too). The problem about agenda one is the speed and price.

Please go to link below, by way of introduction.

iambic Forums (http://support.iambic.com/forum/index.php) > Agendus Mail for Palm OS (http://support.iambic.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=11) > Feature Requests & Suggestions (http://support.iambic.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=35)

and under that: newbie (sort of).

As you can see there, I want to know if the new Agendus for PPC will run under WM 2003 SE and will have it's own Windows user interface (as opposed to Outlook). I, too, am currently using PI, although not enthusiasticly and also using Agendus for Palm. If none of the above are going to happen, then I'll try running Agendus for Palm within StyleTap (albeit upgrading from an older version to v11). I'm following up on this thread and product with zeal and money is no object for me, if it's as good as A 4 P.

Iambic Software has answered my original question as to whether Agendus for Pocket PC was going to be compatible with WM 2003 SE, and the answer is a resounding NO! So I'll have to stick with Pocket Informant for now until I get the Palm version of Agendus reloaded on my brand new Palm Treo 680 cell phone. As I've said before, I'm not a big fan of Windows Outlook, since the Outllook address book is garbage! I'll now have to figure out how to offload the Outlook phone number/email file onto the Treo running on a different confuser. The Iambic Forum plea to get me back into the fold worked, but I'll now be talking at you from the Palm side (eventually). T.T.F.N.

Hi Cassius,
Doesn't Chapura Pocket Mirror do this? I can't remember it has been ions since I used it.

There is a new entry in the PIM field: it's called AgendaOne and it reminds me of nothing so much as Agendus. A good product like Agendus will naturally entice imitators. When the new Agendus appears it will be an interesting comparison.

I purchased Agenda One shortly after getting my Moto Q last January. It's a very nice product and the closest app I've seen to Agendus. It's not quite as slick as I remember from my Agendus/Palm days, but it's pretty good. I'm anxious to see how Iambic does with the SP release.

After I left the palm world 4 years ago I went with Agenda Fusion for a short time and then ultimately to PI.

It is amazing how so many of us have identical stories. I have tried all of the other PIM replacements and nothing can compare to the ingenuity of Agendus. I think that Agendus is so unique in it's approach. Simple and practical but never boring.
