Hi Jimmie,

right now we are on track for mid December -- we are in the process of testing it internally, and applying various UI refinements.

We were hoping to get this out sooner, but the performance was not satisfactory yet, especially with a large number of contacts, meetings, etc. Therefore we are reworking the data loading portions a bit to make AGWM snappy through it usage.

Not too bash the Agendus suite in any way but I hope its a bit more stable then the Palm version. I had to many instances of quirky soft resets. I can't necessarily say its iambic's fault either, the Treo 650 was whacked out enough by itself, probably didn't need any help crashing.

Dear Iambic,

Agendus is a gem of a software title - a bit of a lifesaver for me. I suffer from Nonverbal Learning Disability which, in spite of my superior IQ, causes me great difficulties in terms of everyday task management. Without agendus, I would be lost. And believe me, I have tried other softwares. None are nearly as comprehensive (except maybe one other nameless piece of software - but it's too ugly and difficult to use), fluid, seamless, and beautiful.

Bravo.

Also, I cannot thank you enough for deciding to start development on a Windows Mobile edition. Palm OS was, in my opinion, at a point superior to Windows Mobile, but has been lagging in the last few years.

Also, background application management (what would be a better term here?) is a bit crazy in Palm OS, I feel. I don't know much about it, but I do know that often key parts of individual programs can be scattered around the root directory on my palm (where only a few OS files should reside), causing great havoc.

Windows Mobile used to suck, especially with its memory management issues. That was 2 years ago, I should guess. The other day I hopped over to Cingular and discovered their Moto Q ripoff from Samsung, the Blackjack. It's a beaut. It's fast, great battery and apps switch pretty quickly and without error, a feat often taken for granted in the world of Palm (excluding the Treo).

So now I have a Windows Smartphone, but no compatible Agendus. What a shame. And now the amazing news. I hate lugging the Palm around with the smart phone. I only use the palm for Agendus.

So my understanding is that the regular PocketPC version should be available in mid December, and the smart phone version sometime after that. Could I possibly be delighted with a closer approximation than "sometime thereafter"?

Also, might I suggest incorporating David Allen's "Getting Things Done" methodology into Agendus. I think sales would skyrocket. If you people are not aware of GTD, please, please check the web. 43folders.com for detailed information, but check all the blogs to read about the rapidly growing 'GTD cult'.. I've become a recent member, and I'm never turning away.

And there just is not a good, comprehensive GTD manager for the Palm or Windows Mobile. But there is a wide selection of web-based and mac/windows software available. May I suggest "Kinkless GTD" (excellent as well as poor example of good GTD integration), or Midnight Inbox for the mac.. Perfect as a mac app, but lacking in general calendar/memo/contact features as in Agendus.

Anyways, again, thanks for the amazing product - it was worth every last penny, even if it throws my T|X into unavoidable reset loops whenever I delete an item from the various "overhead" views (as in, without opening the item and deleting it from within it's edit panel)..

Thank you,
Daijumbo

Daijumbo,

thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, and for the kind words about our Agendus solution :)

Going right to your question about when the smartphone edition of Agendus will be available -- we plan to start its beta a few weeks to a month after the pocket pc edition, which will bring us around mid Jan 2007.

Possibly sooner but the 2 platforms and usability models are quite different and therefore requiring lots of tweaks.

I used Agendus intensively for several years and almost never had any problems with it. It was my most important and most dependable app. So, I suspect it had more to do with the Palm or the 650 itself.

Not too bash the Agendus suite in any way but I hope its a bit more stable then the Palm version. I had to many instances of quirky soft resets. I can't necessarily say its iambic's fault either, the Treo 650 was whacked out enough by itself, probably didn't need any help crashing.

Daijumbo,

My 16 year old son has Non Verbal Learning Disorder. It is good to hear that you have benefited from Agendus. Thanks for sharing this with the community.
