Let's say that I've been in the AN Address Book and the Palm has gone to sleep (timeout shutoff).
If I press the power button to wake the Palm up, the screen comes back up instantly.
However, if I press the address button to wake the Palm up, the screen comes back up and re-scans and/or re-sorts before giving control (accepting input).
You see, when the Palm has shut down, I don't always remember where it was left, so I have the tendency to wake the Palm up by pressing the hard button associated with the module I want, and that creates the delay.
I'd like to see AN check to see if the current state at shutoff was the same as the wakeup state requested, and if so, merely turn on. There can be a menu pulldown for a manual re-scan/re-sort if that's necessary.
