YourCall doesn't return to app I was in

Treo 680 - why can I not get yourcall to return me to the app I was in before it does its thing. If I'm writing an email, and choose to ignore the incoming/missed call, yourcall always takes me back to the phone app. The default palm app that allows one to ignore/answer the call , takes me back to where I was before the call came in. (obviously I disabled yourcall to test this)
Any ideas or tips ?
Also, the volume buttons don't seem to scroll through the action list as defined under "new features" in 1.51.
