Since I cannot find a proper way to contact iambic through e-mail, I thought I could do it through the forum.

I just got an email that I purchased Vehicle Manager through Handago. Complete with activation link etc. The fact is that although the program looks great and I could in fact have bought it, I haven't!

I could have received this as a gift from a partner (or maybe from iambic?), but I don't know, so to prevent other weird things (like someone using my contact details without my knowledge?), can someone from iambic contact me and check the details on this "purchase"?

I haven't activated the product yet, until this issue is cleared out.

(now some people could say I am a bit weird to post this and not just keep the product, but better be clear than sorry)

I just received the same garbage. I actually did purchase the software, in

FEBRUARY OF 2006

I never got it running. wasted a lot of time with it, then went back to my EXCEL spreadsheet

What you mean you never got it running?
Didn't want to?

You did the purchase back then and now received a second "purchase"?

If these are just ghosts I should check if I already have an old license for this too (I had some licenses for software I don't even remember any more, since I was reviewing for a site back in the old days).

Can someone from iambic check this out anyway?
I am really tempted to activate it.

Hi All,

actually, the message is totally legit, in fact you just received your free upgrade to Vehicle Manager version 3.3, since you are a former Two Peaks Software customer.

See here for more info:

and here for the complete release announcement:

I tried to get it going, but gave up after an hour seeing no progress. I think if you purchase a new vehicle the same moment you launch it, the loading may be easier, but I didnt have time to run buy a new car just so the software could run well. I run an ORACLE DB for a living, so it isn't like I didn't undrstand normal loading process.

Wonder why the email mentioned nothing of the original intent?

Matches up with the operation of the sw fairly closely though.
