Hi everybody,
this is my first message on this board. So far, everything looks very professional, and it seems questions get answered rather quickly. :)
I just updated from PVM 3.2 to 3.3 with only minor problems, and am happy so far.
@iambic: I have two small requests for the next version of PVM:
- only a small glitch in the desktop version: the picture attached to a vehicle and shown in the lower left corner doesn't keep its aspect ratio. Depending on how I resize the PVM window, my trusted old Citroen becomes a race car or a truck. I'd rather it stayed in its original shape :)
- in the Fuel Economy list under Options, could you add "litres per 100 km", please? That is the (admittedly, a bit funny) unit we in Germany and much of Europe use. None of the other units mean anything to the average German. This affects both the PPC and the Windows version, and I guess it'd be a rather simple addition.
That's all for now. Will drop by from time to time. :)
Cheers
Daniel

Interesting I have the old version 3.2 and it definetly has under "Quick Stats"
the following;
1. Fuel consumption rate xxx litr per 100 kilometers
2. Cost of ownership $xx.xx per 100 kilometers
The main setting that you are using are metric?
I haven't upgraded to the new version as I've been using the desktop version only since upgrading to wm5.
I'm a bit worried now that someting is broken in the new release?
Cheers

Hi All,
Re the ltr/100km issue.
I have just installed the desktop version 3.3 and the data is there, see attached screen cap.
Also the database conversion from 3.2 to 3.3 worked as expected with no issues, I have 4 years worth of data so the file is rather large.
HINT: If you are converting your database or setting up a new one make sure to go to options and set the units of measurements 'before'you input any new data.
Hope this helps :)
Cheers

Yes, it's there for the Fuel Consumption Rate, but not in other places like the Most Recent Fuel Economy. I am not sure why anyone would want to have two different units (km/l and l/100km). My idea was to make the unit configurable (mpg, l/100 km, and maybe other units) and then use it in all places.
Cheers

I see your point and it's a valid one.
Here in Australia (same as Europe) new cars are quoted in l/100km.
I guess I was thinking in Imperial units
Cheers,
Jim
