I've been a long user of Agendus for Palm OS, I'm very happy with the application.
I would like to know when the application will be available for the Symbian OS 6 for Nokia E61 and Nokia E62 since my PDA is short on memory now and I'm going to update my device to one of this 2 smartphones and I would like to still have an Agendus like aplication for these devices.
Most important will be contacts, dates, to do and notes manage; the agendus mail aplication can wait for me know :D .

As an old PALM-Agendus-User, I'm also requesting a version for Nokia E61 (the Blackberry Killer Phone).
Hope to see some progress soon!

There have been many requests already for this, but as written above, no new information since mid last year when Adriano promissed they were looking at it...:( :( :(
It's a pitty. There are many users and Agendus could make a difference here.
The current "enhancements" on the native agenda: Papyrus and Aquacalendar are not even close to Agendus version 5.....
A simple calendar-to-do-contacts application on the level of Agendus 6 or 7 would make an enormous improvement.
Now using an E61 since half a year I'm not an agendus user anymore. But I'm surely mising it every day!
More and more the Palm is replaced by Symbian phones..
IAMBIC go with the flow !!!!

It is hard to belive that Iambic wants to miss the train into the future. Look at the sales development, tests and comments on the new Nokia Smartphone Series.
I think you should have installed a testversion of Agendus on every new E60/61/70 leaving the factory. Talk to Nokia about that. But I know, you have different priorities.
I switched from Palm to Nokia e70 and was a very big fan of Agendus. Now I had to decide to install AquaCalendar. I hope to get back some days to the best calendar solution for handhelds!

I don't think so. There is no decision at the moment not to continue this product.

I don't think so. There is no decision at the moment not to continue this product.
But also no decision to come up with a version that can run on E60/E61/E62.
Since August there has been no news whatsoever then: we are thinking about it.
It would give the Iambic team credit if they at least come up with one of the statements below:
We are currently not thinking active about it
There is definitively going to be a version for Symbian S60V3 in ...... months/years
We are working on it but cannot give a release date yet
We have been working on it and it's not possible
At least a lot of users, posting to various threads asking for it would have an idea what to expect.
Lot's of people are begging you to enlighten us with an Agendus version for our smartphones ! Come on guys: That's a compliment ! Share your thoughts with us!

I totally agree with Ronald NL.
And we're not talking about 'just a few users' here!!!
64 million smartphones shipped worldwide in 2006. Symbian's world market share was up to 67%, of which Nokia accounted for 50% and Sony Ericsson 5%. (source (http://www.canalys.com/pr/2007/r2007024.htm))
Nokia = S60
Sony Ericsson = UIQ
Developping for S60 means that there is a HUGE market potential. Ingnoring these trends would mean ignoring an opportunity to earn a LOT of money!
So again: PLEASE start developping Agendus for Symbian S60 yesterday!

Jeroen

Making no decision for more than 8 month is also a kind of decision.
I agree with Ronald NL, too. A little bit more of transparency in this case would be helpful for all those users waiting for a decision.

You'd have to conclude that it's all too hard for iambic to produce Agendus for smartphones like the Nokia N80. That's too bad: Aquacalendar and Papyrus etc ain't near as good as Agendus, but they're available and iambic is silent.
With no statement even about its intentions in that market, iambic is already being left behind by inferior products. Once you lose loyal customers ....

Not even a reaction from Iambic.
I'm thinking about giving up. It's a pitty but this behaviour does not give me the confidence in "betting on the right horse" .

Just remebered the developers. There are a lot of other projects running, and I really think that this a important decision to follow or not to follow a productline, so please, stay tuned for an answer.

I too, find myself very disappointed in Iambic's lack of support for the s60v3 Symbian OS. I have Agendus in my desktop Outlook, and cannot find a good PIM for my Nokia E62. Cingular has dropped the price of the E62, and is moving a huge number of them.I think they are getting ready to roll out a new version, in the E61i. Agendus is risking a decent amount of current users, and a large number of newcomers to the device. Please move forward with a version for the s60v3.

Sorry Sweety, I know you're doing the utmost, but if somebody so close to Iambic "thinks that they think" and they are doing that already for about a year it's not very encouranging for me....:sour:

I'm not as close as you think.
And adriano has mentioned that they think about it in another thread about SymbianOS.

This is slightly off-topic, but I made the jump from a Palm Tungsten T3 to the E61i 3 days ago. It's early, but so far I really regret it. Symbian S60 v. 3 cannot even be compared to my old PalmOS5 - it is really cumbersome. The largest annoyance is something that I new beforehand, but thought might be offset by the full keyboard: the lack of touchscreen makes navigation on the device so cumbersome and time consuming, I have the feeling I will never get used to it. The messaging app sucks (no real IMAP, no universal inbox with IMAP, no proper port config, no, no, no..., so Agendus would have helped somewhat - anyway, I would not recommend the jump now. So much for my EUR 500 investment.:sour:

The N95 has been a best seller in the UK for a while and the E90 will be a big hit with business users. We need the great Agendus for these devices, S60s PIM is very poor.

Hi,
I just have switched to the Nokia E90, a really great machine, but the PIM is very poor. The only acceptable alternatives are Papyrus and AquaCalender, but they do not reach Agendus by far. I miss Agendus very severe and obviously many other Symbian S60 user do so also. Agendus for S60 3rd would be the great hit and win many users immediately. Beside Pocket Informant for the Windows Mobile devices which I also used intensively it is the best PIM on the market. But the decision for the change of the PDA is made, so I am lost as customer for iambic. Sorry about that.
I am sure that the developers of Papyrus- and AquaCalender are learning quick, they have a good template in Agendus.
Dear IAMBIC- people, to win me back you have to convince me about your power again.

Hello!
Here is another one considering buying Agendus for S60. I have been using a Palm PDA for about 8 years, and a combination of S40-mobile phone and Palm PDA for about one year. I switched to S60 3rd edition (6120c) just some days ago, because of the growing number of applications for this platform. You even get complete on-the-go MS-Office solutions for S60, which is great for me as an intructor using PPT-presentations.
Nokia's PIM-Applications are not as good as Palm's ones, but still better than SonyEricsson. But it's nothing compared to Agendus. And to be able to have a complete 1:1 synchronisation, to have the same look (including the icons), project-view and so on for my PIM on Windows Desktop, Palm and phone would be wonderful.
So, iambic, please start further enlarging your customers basis. Start developing for S60. Not only UIQ, pleeeaaase.
Regards
Carsten

Dear Iambic-Team!
I have bee a loyal customer (Agendus for Palm and for Outlook) for many years now, can't even recall what the first version of Agendus (had a differnt name before?) was, that I bought. Also being loyal to Palm handhelds, their new handhelds, using Windows Mobile are not an option for me any more.
The first Nokia phone with Symbian I bought was the 7650. Since then I am upgrading regularly, having a E51 at the moment (no phone without Symbian any more). The 7650 appeared on the market in 2002. At this time I first asked for a Symbian version of Agendus. Until now, nothing happend in this direction :-(.
I'm using my Palm less and less, as my Nokia took over all functionality needed. Actually only Agendus keeps me using my Palm.
I will not upgrade my Agendus for Palm any more, that means Agendus for Outlook also gets obsolete. Please draw your own conclusions.
A former loyal, agendus-loving, customer,
Christoph

Here I am back again after more than a year to see if iambic has any news of Agendus for Symbian 6 v3.
But no. The silence is eloquent.
My mates and I have long abandoned the Palm platform for Symbian and get by with Aquacalendar or Papyrus or - in a few sad cases - the built in PIM apps.
It seems we in the non-US market are now also in the non-iambic market. So be it.
