Hi
I have just opgraded VM to vers. 3.3 and bought VM3.3 for my new Windows Mobile 5 phone (a HTC formerly Qtec).

I have installed the applications with succes - followed the inst. manual!!

Both the windows desktop version and the Smartphone version are working fine....seperately.

When I connect through ActiveSync VM is not synchronised !
Via Tools/Options I can see the VM icon but I not allowed to check out/in on the check box. I not allowed to ajust settings.
I have tried ActiveSync 4.5 beta 2 with the same result.
I have tried the process ALL OVER (uninstall+boot+new install etc.) on my desktop at home and on my laptop at work.

Please help!!!

Hi there -

Several of us w/ smartphones have similar issues. I think they are aware of the problem and have been working on it for a few days.

I'd hoped for some news from the tech folks about their progress.

Kimsvane,

not sure if you have a windows mobile smartphone (i.e. no touchscreen) or a windows mobile pocket pc kind of phone.

If you have the latter, then we re-tested and verifying upgrading from version 3.2 to 3.3, and put together a KB article with step by step instructions:

http://support.iambic.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=257

hope it helps.

Regards,

- Adriano

Adriano -

Is Iambic still working on solving the issues with the WM5 smartphones (no touchscreen)?

Hi there Adriano
About my equipm.
The HTC is a Smartphone without touchscreen
I have upgraded VM for Desktop !
I haven't had the VM smartphone before, so that one is new.

I have read your KB article, but that referres to an upgrade from BOTH VM Desktop AND VM Smartphone.......will the KB article still cover the kind of problem I'm facing....
Think I'll try to follow the KB article, though it seems to include the steps I've allready tried.
I'll be back

Reinstalled EVERYTHIN
Tried previous versions of ActiveSync.
Tried new ActiveSync 4.5.
