Come on, YourCall developer, why does YourCall still open on the
'Preferences' screen, not the 'Past Calls' screen which is more
logical for everyday usage. The program is basically very good and
saves me lots of time in my computer support business,
www.thebusinesstuner.com. However, when I wish to add tasks etc.
to calls later in the day, I go directly to Yourcall from the icon on my
launcher and 'YourCall' opens on the 'Preference' screen which
is totally illogical, not other of my PDA application does that.
So in version 1.7, please finally fix this as requested before.

As mentioned, this is on our list. Our objective with this update was to fix some bugs, and get the other languages out & Google Maps added.
We have a lot of new features in the pipeline & this will certainly be one of them. Our plan I to give the user the option for what view YC opens on. ;)

I agree - getting Your Call to open in the "Past Calls' is the most logical choice. A quick option setting would be a nice addition to the feature set.

Michael, yes, a future feature to allow users to change opening would be nice, in the future. However, as a programmer of these applications, I know how ease it is to change the opening program form to 'PastCalls' not the 'Preferences' screen which is not a logical place for any application start in, unless it only appears in Palm preference screen.
Yes, for sure, if you wish to add selection for the user to set the open screen form down the road, but just quick simple fix this piece of programming.

You're perception of how the app should work is accurate, but if you used YC 1.0 you will remember that the PastCalls dialog was added later. So your criticism, though not out of line is somewhat misplaced.
YourCall (the app) was originally visioned as just a pref organizer for what happens & what the user would do when a call terminates. So our original intent was that it would just be there to run in the background and deploy the Post-Call dialog. Adding the ability to take actions on previous calls & serving as a CallLog viewer came later.
With this being added as an after-thought, it introduced a different interpretation of what YC (the app) is & improved our vision of what its potential was. With all of this said, we plan to slowly make YC (the app) really more of an app & not only a Post-Call pref organizer.
