I wanted to see if anyone else that has Opera installed along with Propel are experiencing problems with Opera? It was fine before, but now I can't get it to stay open. Uninstalled, re-installed a few times, same result....
I need my Opera! Blazer is awful...

I haven't heard of this happening before.
what do you mean about it not staying open? Any idea what seems to close it?

Before I had Propel, I had no issues with Opera Mini, it worked great.
Now, when I launch Opera, the homepage launches, but then I will click on a bookmark I have saved on my homepage or I will type in an address and when I hit enter, it starts to move to the next page, then closes and goes back to the Propel launcher screen. The only other behavior is that sometimes when I click on a link, you start to see the desired page, but then a small "sectioned-out" square (maybe 1/8 of the page) is in the upper left corner and the small window shows the propel launch screen, with the remaining white Opera background, but nothing happens, it just freezes up. Lately it has just been resetting back to the Propel screen.
Argh - any ideas?!?!

I have a guess - opera may be causing the system to mount and unmount the sd card as if you had put in a new sd card.
propel looks for that notification and launches (like the system launcher does), but you can disable this effect by unselecting preferences/launching items/launch when SD card inserted
let me know if that works and I'll have to figure out how not to respond to opera's mounting/unmounting.
thanks

So I tried that today, but I am still experiencing the reset within Opera Mini in the same fashion. Mostly will reset back to the propel screen, but occasionally as it is loading the page (will show 1/4K, 2/4K loading, then poof!) the upper left hand corner will look like the propel background while the remainder of the screen is a blank opera page.
Let me know if you have more suggestions! Thanks!

the other reason that propel would launch is if it spots one of it's launch keys going through the event queue.
could you try disabling all launch keys in preferences/launching propel
(set them all to none)
if that works, I'll have to figure out why opera would be sending launch keys that you didn't press!

Unfortunately the same dilemma....I was hoping that was it! Now, it just resets back to the launch screen.

by the launch screen, do you mean the standard launcher?
if so, it's starting to sound like it may not be Propel at fault.
Can you try moving propel to the sd card (which will effectively disable it).
If you still get the problem, then propel isn't the culprit!

Is moving Propel to the SD card an option within the application, or do I need to move it a different way?
I am not sure what else it would be since it worked for so long, then only made 1 change and now I am experiencing these issues, but you are right though it is starting to look like it may not be at fault.
Once I figure out how to move it and test it that way and if I still have the problem, I will report it over to the Opera board. I am also due for an upgrade in a couple of weeks, I guess I will go with the treo 680 since it is newer than the 700 and maybe that in effect will cure whatever the problem is.

you'll have to use the built in application launcher to move propel. Just press home twice and you should end up there.
use the copy menu to copy it over, then delete to delete the version in RAM.
do let me know what you find.

I was able to move & delete propel and still experiencing the same issues. It must not be propel, but it is strange as that was the only thing added and seemed to start happening right away. Anyway, I will be upgrading to the 680 after next weekend, and when I install everything on the new treo I will see if I still have any issues. Thanks for trying to help, I will post again once I find out about the 680.

glad to hear that propel isn't the culprit!
you might try removing the spare java rms files - I hear that the jvm is pretty unstable and cleaning the rms files helps to reset it.
you'll enjoy the 680!
