I have been unable to get any alarms on the desktop to even show up in the Alarms list at all. I set the alarms. It shows up in the meeting or todo entry normally but nothing appears in the Alarms list and no alarms go off on the desktop.
When I synchronise an alarm created in the desktop to the palm version I get no alarms sounding although the alarm is shown in the Palm event. If I go to a repeating event with an alarm attached via the desktop and look to check that the alarm is there in the palm I find the entry is correct but when I cancel out of the repeating entry it asks me if I want to make any changes despite the fact I have cancelled out. This suggests to me that the mere fact of opening the alarm dialog box somehow creates the alarm that is not functioning and this change is reflected in the request to save changes I haven't made.
