Hello,
I am customizing my quote of the day but had a question about what source is needed. Is the url utilizing a xml or rss feed. Can you give me an example of how your quote of the day is grabbing information from a server?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Adriano,
I actually did a search several times on the forum and nothing came up so I searched all of Iambic and it came up on google so I read it yesterday. Thanks for the follow up though!
I guess I will just create my own text file since there seems to be no way that I can see to utilize a website without it being QOTD. Perhaps there is some way to do it, but I lack the technical expertise to do it if it is possible. I will just download the sample text file from Iambic and edit it. :)

Adriano,
Another question as I read the wiki information again. It says that the protocal is usually not enabled on servers because of securtiy reasons.
My big question ...can an end user fine a qotd server? In the wiki information, it shows iambic and another one called quotes 4 all. So say we wanted to use quotes 4 all what do I enter for the source url since this is not html?
I guess the thing that I don't understand is that the end user is going to want to be able to customize this quote of the day by typing in a favorite source url for a website and that doesn't work. Why then make this option available if the end user can't understand how this works?
Just my opinion. I am not trying to criticize. Please just help me understand. I had hoped to just plop in a url of my favorite quote website and go. I understand now that it doesn't work that way and it requires a server with the qotd protocal enabled that is designed to send a quote ota. However this seems too advanced for the end user since there doesn't appear to be any more choices available for these servers.
