Hello everyone,

as part of the committment to our userbase and to the creation of high quality titles, we have decided to extend our Beta Program from a "major new version basis" to an "ongoing basis".

What does this mean to you? In a nutshell, that most of the product forums will soon contain an "always open" subforum called "Beta Releases", into which -- depending on availability -- you may find the "bleeding edge" build of the upcoming next minor or major update being worked on.

In case of major new versions (i.e. titles whose first number in the version gets increased) these won't be available in beta until all the new planned features are ready for prime time both from a development and quality assurance standpoint.

The thread containing the beta build will also list the fixes / improvements made over the previous beta build, or the currently released build. This list will be included in the "what's new" area of the product pages upon official release.

Guidelines:

1. The use of beta software is AT YOUR OWN RISK. Please be aware that beta builds are not for everyone, only users willing to take risks are encouraged to use beta builds. Everyone else should wait for the version being worked on to be officially released.

2. Support and troubleshooting for a beta version is provided exclusively in the beta forum, please don't submit tickets to our Support Department related to a beta build. You would be redirected to these forums anyway.

3. To avoid mixing bugs specific to the official versions with those from beta builds, please post reports regarding bugs relating to the beta version in the same beta subforum.

4. Pre-release beta software should not be treated as evaluation software. While beta versions do provide a look at the direction the product is taking, the very nature of the betas implies that the software might be unstable and/or incomplete.

5. Do not post feature requests as bugs. Instead, please use the proper "Feature Requests" forum section available for each product. We are primarily interested in receiving bug reports on the beta versions of our software.

6. Do not repost or redistribute beta versions located on this site.

Bug Reporting Best Practices:

- The thread title should contain the build number where you are experiencing the issue

- The thread body should completely describe the issue and should contain bullet point style steps to reproduce

- If necessary, include a screenshot showing the problem. They say a picture is worth 1,000 words

- If the beta build you are trying out produces an error log, please attach it to your post.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping to ensure the excellence and dependability of our titles.

- Adriano
