View Full Version : I installed Build 118, Have a contact issue

My contacts do not sort. They are just listed randomly and I have NO grouping on. Also, when I click on the contact for the menu, in the contact history portion, it only shows me tasks and calendar events, but does not show me phone history

Hi bozzer,

Sorry to hear about your problems. Just to confirm, are you using the latest beta build 118? What device are you using?

So you have no grouping and I would presume you have no filter applied as well. Can you tell me how you have the display format. You can find that by going to contact view> and tapping the preference button on the lower right of the screen.

In terms of the contact history...sorry to ask this but I need to know- I would assume you have the phone button highlighted so that that history is not filtered and the history category is set to all. Just trying to troubleshoot.

If you can show me some screen shots too that would be helpful. Thanks for your patience.;)

Hi again bozzer,

I see from another thread in the forums that you updated your signature with your device as a Treowx. I run the same device. Again, if you can answer the other questions I have above we can see what is going on. Thanks again and look forward to your reply.

hi and thanks for getting back to me. Yes it is a TREO WX with latest 118 build. Contacts: No grouping selected, All set for the entire contact list, in preferences it is set to displya last name, first and I have the box checked for alphabetical filter.

Yes in contact history I have the phone button checked and catagories all

How do I get you screen shots?

When I go into contact history and click on an event a drop down menu opens up and oneof the items is go to item. When I click to got to the item, it does not do anything.

How do I get you screen shots?

Screen shots can be done by third party apps on the pocket pc or on the pc. Do a google for screen capture pocket pc and it should bring up options. I believe that there are freebees out there too. I use pocket controller pro on the pc (not free though) Also, if you run resco picture viewer on your pocket pc, they have one too. For now, don't worry about the screen shots. We will work through this without them. You have given me good information.

Is this the first time you are using agendus? Or have you used the betas before without this problem? Also, I noticed that you are syncing with an exchange server is this correct?

Nancy, I have used agendus on my palm device since it first came out. My company now uses windows so I am excited about this new version. However, i did install beta build 104. It had same issues as now. I redownloaded when it was released, but I encountered even more problems like losing information, icons dropping, contact issues, so I went back to beta 104 and it was relatively stable. I just put build 118 on and for the most part, the issues that I have with build 104 have not gone away and the stability has not changed. I even did soft resets, hard resets and reinstalled all my data but nothing changes. Don't know if it's the device.

Wondering if the dialog should be continued with him on this. Sounds like you have some really strange things happening. I am not able to reproduce these on my wx but I am not syncing with exchange servers either. Adriano is the authority and I will give him the heads up on this.

In terms of the go to item...I believe that has been reported. I know I have seen that before and I can duplicate it. If it hasn't been reported I will make sure to pass it along.

buzzer,

sorry for the delay on this. Here a suggestion that might clear out your problems:

1- Make sure AGWM is not running
2- visit the AGWM installation folder then enter the subfolder "Data", once there delete all subfolders and related content, BUT the one named "icons"
3- with a registry editor, visit the key HKCU/software/iambic software/ and delete the key called "AgendusForWindows" and everything it contains.

What above will make sure that all the prefs and saved temp data gets cleared.

Once done launch AGWM again.

Sorry, I was traveling. I am not that technical to be able to follow that process without explicit directions. I am an end user only. The app has been working OK. My still known problems, but not ones that stop me from using the product effectively:
- contacts do not sort
----While viewing contact History, direct phone calls do not register unless I have a scheduled call set up and it does capture that
- Birthday ICONS don't show on month view, but you know these
