View Full Version : Schedule Meeting ideas

I have a few thoughts about creating meetings that I would like to share.

First off, it would be nice to have Agendus give you some type of warning if a meeting is being scheduled over another meeting... Right now, I could schedule 10 meetings all at the same time and not know about it unless I check the day view.

To help the user avoid this problem entirely, I think that the date/time window for the meetings should also show you times when other meetings are scheduled . This feature can easily be displayed on the time selection display (as shown in the screen shot).

Also, a nice little touch would be to have a brief list of the selected day(s) meetings with their locations to help the user schedule their meeting with more efficiency. (See Attachment)

That's all for now :)

hmmmm this reminds me a bit of the timeline bars in PI. I like your idea of having the dead space display a summary of that day's events. That is brilliant.

I would like to add that the timelines are so narrow they are barely useful. I can never get the time I want because they are so tiny. The stylus barely fits. I would assume that this will be one of the enhancements for the square screen?;)

I second that! The timeline is very thin and hard to control with the stylus. Going back to my Palm days with Agendus a year or so ago... I remember a bunch of requests to have that timeline slider move in user-definable increments. Having it move in 5 min. blocks isn't good for me as you have to be awfully nimble with the stylus to get it to land at exactly the right time. I'd like to configure it so it would move in 15 or 30 minute increments.

The list of meetings in the blank space is a great idea. As long as it scrolls properly on square screen devices.

The timeline bar in agendus palm I never used, it just did not work for me. Seeing a free/busy line as described here would be great.

I also like the free/busy timeline indicators.
As for the dead space — well, that's just not a problem on my dash ;) little to speak of.

I'd like to chime in with a "me too". I'd love to be able to see what other commitments I have while I'm trying to set up a meeting.
