I think there should be an option to click on the month and year on the day picker view and have a pull-down listing all the months and years (maybe the next 5 years or so).
It seems silly that you have to scroll through all the months to get to the end of the year when two simple clicks would do the trick.
Also, is there a purpose to the numeric date picker on the day picker screen? Selecting a date in numeric format doesn't make much sense when you have a graphical representation of the days on your screen... maybe I'm just missing the point?

Eric,
I agree with the drop down method for the date picker month and year. In terms of the numeric date picker, perhaps the thinking behind that was similar to what the dropdown effect will achieve. It was an option for jumping to a date without having to scroll through the months. However, if a dropdown was in place there would be no need for the numeric and that is going to save real estate on the screen to boot.

I sort of like this request, though entering the date in numeric format works well for me. I've reported (http://bugtrack.iambic.net/view.php?id=13939)the request.
Let me know if the report fails to represent what you're asking for.

Michael,
I can't see the numeric date picker or todays date button on the Treo ...I have to scroll down. I am sure you already know this.

I don't know what Eric thinks but I like the representation.
