Sorry but yesterday I deinstalled Agendus for WM5 from my phone as I had too many problems .
the most serious was that I lost more than half of my contacts during sync.
I don´t know why but it was the second time since I installed Agendus.
I was used to have a very nice tool as it was on my palm there it worked seamless since years but I´m rather disappointed how it worked with WM5 on my MDA.
Luckely I had most of the contacts on my UX50 and therefore I could beam them to my MDA.
Just for Info, I´m using pocket Informant 2007 together with Agendus, maybe that is the reason.
Anyway I will now wait until more bugs are solved and maybe give it another try later if you fixed the Agendus.
I had more other small problems as well with Agendus for WM, as I could not see any Icons (I designated them as described but still not visible)
Hopefully Agendus will work later seamless as it was on my Palm.
regards!

I'm sorry to hear if your troubles with Agendus :(
You mentioned that you are using a WM based phone (smartphone perhaps?)... if that's the case, you might want to try Agendus for Smartphones when it's available (shortly). It may the reason why you had some problems.
Please check back with the forums or the main product page and when the smartphone edition is available, you might want to give that a shot ;)

EP2005 -- looks like litzehno has an MDA, WM5 PPC phone. Which happens to be the same model I have as well.
Specifically to the losing contacts part -- I've never heard anyone reporting such a behaviour, and in particular Agendus is kind of out of the picture (at least for the moment) when it comes to syncing, since it is all carried on by the native activesync pocket outlook providers.
Btw I'm using agendus 1.01 on my mda with exchange active sync (i.e. every change I make either in outlook or on my device gets synced on the fly) and so far I haven't run into loosing data.
litzehno, you might still have on your device under program files\iambic\agendus a file called AgendusM.log -- would be great if you could post it here so we can take a look if anything with Agendus was going wrong on your mobile.
Also, what other issues you run into? The one I'm aware of is pictures not getting "attached" to the items, which I followed yesterday on another thread and we reproduced.
Thanks for your help in sorting this out :)

do you use a windows pc or a mac? did you loose the datas only on the phone or also on the computer?
sometimes when i sync, my datas are also deleted on the phone, but they are still on the mac. but if i sync again, then the datas are still on my phone again.
i found, that if i want "mac overwrites phone" the datas on my phone will be deleted. if i tell the mac "sync" all datas will be synct.

Í was loosing all the Data, on the PC (WinXP prof Outlook 2000) and on the MDA vario (windows mobile 5.0. using active sync version 4.3)
Settings syn only, no preferences to MDA or PC.
What also happened was that a few contacts were not syncronized at all.
Just as info there are no problems with Pocket informant 2007 after I deinstalled Agendus therefore ´do not think that I have a problem with my MDA.
Maybe both programms do not like each other and maybe somebody from the team could look into it. I attached the log as txt file and maybe they can do something with it.

thanks for the additional info and for posting the log. I glanced over it and it contains a few error situations, but none seems fatal, and they are unrelated to contacts. Nonetheless we are going to analyze it in more depth in a few hrs.
On another note, why you believe that is Agendus the cause of your loss of contacts? Did something specific happened that is suggesting you that? Knowing the sequence of steps you performed leading to the loss of contacts might be helpful to us as well.
Thanks again for all your help isolating the possible problem :)

Adriano,
its quite easy why I suspect Agendus Mobile -
I´m using my MDA since over an year now and Pocket Informant sice a few month and I had NEVER a problem loosing any contact or whatsoever.
After I installed Agendus for Mobile it happened, (I did not install anything else)
After installing Agendus I had all the Contacts within the programm then I changed a few things using the features of Agendus and then did a sync and voila the contacts were gone. Strange enough always a few disappeared and when I tried to recover them with a new sync others disappeared.
Thats the story and therefore a suspect Agendus to be the culprit!
After removing Agendus and doing a sync after I recovered the Contacts from my Palm UX50, everything worked well and the contacts are there!
I had never ever this problem with Agendus for Palm and this one I´m using since years!
Regards!

litzenho,
I am using both on a Cingular 8125 and nothing like that has happened here.
By any chance have you installed any other applications on the MDA since installing Agendus? Anything at all that might also be using ActiveSync? I know the feeling -- you can't pin this problem on anything in particular but since it occurred with Agendus installed and seems to have stopped not Agendus has been removed, Agendus receives the blame by default. However throughout this entire beta period I've not seen anything close to this occurring. I don't believe that the Agendus interacts with ActiveSync at all -- all changes made in Agendus are also made in the Pocket Outlook database, which then syncs with your PC. If you decide to try Agendus for Windows Mobile again please try this:
After making any changes to a contact in Agendus, open Pocket Outlook and make sure that all your contacts are there. Then synchronize immediately and check pocket Outlook again as well as your PC. See if any contacts are missing at that point. It is my belief that if the contacts are there on your PC and Pocket Outlook before syncing they will also be there afterward. I think the losing of the contacts must be occurring on your device or on your PC prior to synchronizing.

Hi,
I updated my MDA vario to the latest ROM image (AKKU 2/2006) and after the first sync, which was successfull I had all contacts in my phone again.
I thought it would be a good opportunity to try with a fresh phone without any additional software Agendus again. (I made a BU before the first sync with Agendus installed)
The same problem occured again wich I described earlier.
Again I lost a number of contacts and I´m was very frustrated and therefore I removed Agendus from my MDA and installed Pocket Informant 2007 and did , after recovery of my contacts, the sync and had no problem whatsoever.
Noew I think it is profen that Agendus anyhow is the culprit.
My system : WinXP prof , Outlook 2002, active sync 4.5 german!
I will not install Agendus again before the problem is solved.
I know that the problem is hard to identify as I´m here in this community the only with this problem but I´m looking forward to the solution.

Could you please describe when exactly contacts got lost? Possibly, any certain steps are leading to this? Does it happened at once after first start of Agendus, or it happened later on, or only after synchronization? And did you checked if conacts got lost in built-in contact application too? It might be an issue with Agendus that data laoding was interrupted due to some reason.

Vladimir,
its fairly easy to explain:
I checked the contacts before sync on the MDA and Outlook, all there!, then I sync and I can see that Contacts are disappearing during sync in Outlook! After sync the contacts are missing on the PC and the MDA within Agendus, and the MDA own contact list.
ONLY if Agendus is on my MDA.
After removing Agendus from the MDA everything works fine! I have not lost a single contact!
As I said after the trouble the first time I have a BU to reinstall all my contacts and therefore this time it was not a mess.
These kind of things never happened with Agendus on my Palm (Sony UX50)
and that one I was using for a few years.
Hope that helps!
