I use Propel to launch an xls file. I get the following error:
Info:
Unable to initialise file library

Then I try to launch Documents to GO and the Treo crashes and does a reset.

Please take a look at the new version 1.03, released today.

Please take a look at my signature and notice that I'm using the latest release of propel. ;)

BTW, this didn't happen with 1.02

wow - that sig is really handy! (I clicked thanks)

the error happens when Propel is unable to install it's file library to handle the transfer.
possible reasons:
1) you don't have any space in memory (though it only needs a few k)
2) some clash with an existing app.

can you try using filez (or other) to delete 'fakeFileLibrary' and try again?

I added some changes in this version specifically to work better with dtg9, so it should work fine...

I deleted the file fakefilelibrary.
Now when I try to open the *.xls file it opens with no problem. :)

However, there are a couple of problems.
1) It won't let me save the file under the same name. It has to be a different name. (That might be a DTG issue).
2) When I exit, it doesn't exit to Propel, it exits to Files.

Thanks.

that's interesting - I'm guessing you only installed the Files app recently.
Propel won't install it's fake file library if it can use the one in Files.

I'm afraid all the rest is DTG 9.
try opening a doc with the files app and you'll see the same (stupid) behaviour.

FWIW, dtg 8 doesn't have this bug. I don't know what 9 adds, but you might consider downgrading.

Are you aware that and update for Propel was release earlier today, which addresses some DTG issues? Get it here (http://www.iambic.com/propel/palmos/whatsnew.asp).

Are you aware that some users write the software version they are using on the signature? See them here [arrow pointing down]

Yes, this is humor, I thought it would be funny since I had mentioned it earlier in the thread.

Thanks Michael, I'm just teasing you. I know your intent was to help and you have been very helpful in the past :)

Yes, I installed Propel before I installed Files.

I talked to GTG, they are aware of the error in saving the files and they hope to have a fix next update.
