View Full Version : New to Agendus -- will this work?

In reading about features in Iambic's products, it looks like the Vivid Agendus capability is not in the Agendus for Windows Mobile, yet. What if I used Agendus for Outlook to set the rules for icon display (which is exactly what I want to do!)? Will those transfer to my Agendus for Windows Mobile?
Does Agendus for Outlook work with Outlook 2007?
Thanks,
Lon

Hi Lon,
Welcome.
Here is an thread that might be of some help in regard to the business of synchronizing icons, categories and or themes.

In terms of Outlook 2007, I don't have it but the system requirements to say anything later of 2002,2003. With that said, I don't want you to break anything so I am going to run this by development just to confirm. Ok?:)

Thanks for the answer, Nancy.
I'd be glad to test whatever you've got and will buy Agendus for Windows to make this work, if necessary. I'm using Office 2007 (Business Contact Manager holds all my contacts), running on Vista with Windows Mobile Device Center instead of ActiveSync, and using Companionlink to synch the data to my Sprint 6700 Pocket PC. Whew -- got the configuration?
What I "thought" I was getting in Agendus for Windows Mobile was the ability to set a rule so that when a task or appointment in Outlook had the word "BDAY" in it, it displayed the icon for a birthday cake on the Agendus calendar on my Pocket PC. That's what I want to do! I used to use VO Calendar which had a rules based system to do this and I miss it.
Let me know what I need to do or how long I have to wait...
Thanks,
Lon

Hi Lon,
Thanks for the details. Wow, you have quite a setup there!;)
Ah, ok. So what you are saying is you want something that goes beyond the normal everyday categories and actually have AGWM find keywords and then act accordingly by assigning an icon once it finds those keywords listed in an appointment or task description or note? Do I have it right?:)

Yes, that's correct. Isn't that what Vivid Agendus does? I've seen other postings in the Palm forum that discusses that.

Yes, and I know others have requested as well. It will come up if you do a search on "vivid". Unfortunately, as you have indicated it is not implemented as of yet on WM.
BTW, I just sent you a private message-please check your inbox here on the forums.
