View Full Version : Blackberry Question???

Hello friends:

I am currently using several of your products and I am extremely happy. The only problem is that the products I have are for the Palm Treo 700p which I love. I recently was given a Blackberry Pearl (free from work) and have not been able to find Agendus for the Blackberry line.

Can anyone help ... or is this a mute point ... since there are no blackberry line products. Even your headings at the top of the page don't mention BlackBerry.(Palm OS, Windows Mobile Pocket PC, WM Smartphone, Symbian, Windows Desktop ... but no Blackberry!!!)

Thanks in advance for your anticipated help in this matter.

Hi Pastor Rob,

eh... that is because we don't have a version of Agendus for the blackberry.

I wish it was just a matter of moving the application's executable from one device to the other et voila'... not exactly like that unfortunately.

This has been discussed in the Features and Benefits portion of this forum (http://support.iambic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21279&highlight=Blackberry) before and if I know Adriano (which being a Senior Member and former IFTM'er) he won't make an annoucement until the stars align properly. The stars being resources, demand and ease of implementation.

I've learned something. Didn't know the Blackberry could run programs. I guess the operating system is something unique to Blackberry. What portion of the market has Blackberry captured?

Hi All,

following-up on this trying to cover what brought up so far on this thread.

Can anyone help ... or is this a mute point ... since there are no blackberry line products. Even your headings at the top of the page don't mention BlackBerry.(Palm OS, Windows Mobile Pocket PC, WM Smartphone, Symbian, Windows Desktop ... but no Blackberry!!!)

that is correct, no "Blackberry" heading... for the moment.

any plans at all for a RIM agendus version??

evaluating possibilities...

Ahhh, the sounds of silence. Is that a silent yes or a silent no?

personally, I do enjoy the sound of silence... so much background noise nowadays pretty much everywhere we are. Silence can also mean wheels are spinning in the back of the shop... just nothing yet ready for the showroom.

he won't make an annoucement until the stars align properly

mission control is working on aligning the stars... we wish they would align on their own, but our stars -- differently from the ones up there in the sky --don't.

Didn't know the Blackberry could run programs. I guess the operating system is something unique to Blackberry. What portion of the market has Blackberry captured?

1. yes it definitely can / 2. yes, unique to BB / 3. stats are available out there on the net doing some googling around.

Just as I'm about to finally get my 750 - you know that you'll have to put up with the complaints from those who don't have the latest generation of BB's......remember Sony?

Good move to support it "A"!:) ;)

Thanks :) -- in regards to the BB's, the ones on that page are just a few examples. As much as possible our titles are going to be quite backward compatible.

So, when are you going to fix Agendus for Palm OS?

as soon as instead of having to spend energies monitoring the forums for nothing-adding / flame-magnets kind of posts like yours, we can focus on addressing the few remaining and complex to isolate problems.

Thank you for your understanding -- perhaps in the next few days you might want to take a look at the Agendus Palm beta forum for new builds.

I wouldn't spend too much time about being backward compatible too far back because of the change from Thumbwheel to trackball. There are still a lot of thumbwheel BB's out there but I should think that if you make a product that works on the trackball's and not the thumbwheels you should get a commission from RIM for all of the upgrades to new devices it might generate.

Sorry I won't be able to test on the BB - I'll have my long awaited 750 by the end of the month at the latest and probably the end of next week....still a good move and I think the change in the forums - is a good thing as well.

I'll see you on the WM side in a few

Isn't there a song from Led Zeppelin saying something like "dream on, dream on, dream on... till your dreams come true..." ? -- I wouldn't really count on what above to happen :)

"Flame"? It is a fair question that you just won't answer.

I believe Adriano won't reply to this post so I will because:

It's a flame when you enter a thread and post your comment that has absolutely nothing to do with the thread. The thread topic is on Blackberry and has nothing to do with either of your comments. That's trolling as well.

Flame was not the term that Adriano used: The term was flame-magnet which is more appropriate.

These forums can be helpful places for other users to share thoughts and tips and the like but when certain people with minimal posts offer nothing constructive but criticism well the post/thread is likely to get closed.

Which in this case it should.

If you have a legitimate issue then submit a support ticket per the procedure and I'm quite confident it will get answered. But if all you want to do is bash a company that has many loyal followers and whose product is used by thousands more who don't have any issue with it.......then by all means go somewhere else where by you can feel warm and fuzzy for flaming others.

It is still a fair question to ask. And yet, here is a Iambic "fan" who wants this thread closed because the very unanswered question puts his man on the spot. That is pretty weak. Their tactic is to kill the messenger when they don't like the message. Go ahead rsgmoose, live in a fanatsy world.
