OK, see if it's just me, but I choose granulated sugar, make the serving size 1 tbsp...and it gives me a calorie count of over 700.
A bit high (even for sugar) :D
Let me know if it is just me!

figman4,
Thanks for the report. We are aware of a refresh problem when changing the default serving size. If you change days or exit and relaunch is the calorie count still incorrect?

I just tried both methods and it stayed at 774 calories. Let me know if you would like me to try anything else...and thanks for the quick response!

Ok, maybe I misunderstood exactly what you were doing. Can you take me through each and every exact step to do this?
Thanks.

I tried these steps and my calories went to 16.25, meaning it did switch the serving type without a problem.
Michael, is this working for you?

I was thinking that it could be a smartphone issue... thanks for letting us know that you are using one.

To increase the instance count, I, too, experience this problem. Sometimes it occurs even if I don't change the default serving size.
Problem #1:
=========
Example:
Create new food item:
Pizza Hut Pepperoni Pizza
210 calories
Serving: 1 Slice
Now create a new meal entry for some day:
Quantity: 3
Serving: 1 Slide
Entry is made saying 3x 1 Slice .... 2,000+ calories. Not good.
If I add a second entry saying 3x 1 Slice it shows the correct caloric value.
Problem #2:
=========
If I edit the entry from quantity 3 to 1 it ends up being: 13x 1 Slice
If I edit again from 1 to 0 it says: 130x 1 Slice
After playing around it looks like something wierd happend and why I manually enter a number it is appended to the current number (instead of replacing current value). And since the edit control is sooo small (allows a large numeric value but only displays the last 1 digit) what looks like the right value is not the right value.

I've tried all of your steps on my device and it seems to be working fine... not one of the problems you mentioned are present (for me).
What device are you using and what version do you have?

I am using a T-Mobile Dash (HTC S620) and the most recent version of the software (v2.62 build 111).
I can not reliably reproduce the bug but if I fiddle around (adding entries, editing meal entries by changing the quantity value) I can usually get it to reproduce.

I also have a t-mobile dash with the latest updates and experience the same bug. Even though I select tsp, no matter how I tweak it, it shows cup. Please advise.

I've tried the Pizza example on a Moto Q and the calories are showing 630 as expected. I'm not saying this is not a real problem, but there must be more to this story. Were there other items present when you added the pizza? Anything else you can think of would help.

I too have T-Mobile Dash with WM5 and experience the same problem.
Selecting 1 tbsp butter gives 813 calories.
Also (maybe another issue) when I enter a custom food in the database, the name and quantity are saved but nutritional values entered are not saved, resulting in a food with zero values for everything.
