Is there any way to export to an Excel file? I don't have Excel at home. So, I get an error. I have Open Office so I could open an Excel file if I had one. I made the suggestion over 3 years ago but nothing has been done.

I tried to move the file to work and installed the app. Unfortunately, there is no way to direct the app to load that dat file. Does any one know how to change what file is opened?

Thanks

Keith

You can only export to Excel from the desktop portion of the application. Is your dat file named something other than My Vehicles?

The filename is altima96.dat. At some point in the past, you could have different filenames. Since I don't have Excel at home, I take the dat file to work and save it in to a temp folder. I then rename it to My Vehicles.dat and overwrite the file with the same name in the application folder. I open the application and it has the altima96 data. I export to Excel and then save it to a xls file. I then take the file home and use Open Office and any other free spreadsheet application to play with the data.

It would be nice to have it export to an Excel file. I know I'm asking for alot since the original programmers are probably already long gone.
