I am running Vehicle Manager 3.3 on a Cingular 8525 and on Windows Vista Ultimate. I cannot get my PPC to sync with my desktop through the Windows Mobile Device Center.

I suspect that it has to do with the change in Windows from ActiveSync to Windows Mobile Device Center.

I would like to gfet my PPC and Desktop syncing again, so any information that anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Spyder,

I'm syncing Vehicle Manager on a Smartphone to Device Center in Vista to Vehicle Manager in Windows under Vista Ultimate.

Please start Device Center and sync your 8525. Is it connecting? Does it eventually say "Connected?" If so, go to Mobile Device Settings and select "Change content sync settings."

Do you see Vehicle Manager in the list? If so, the conduit is present.

Is the conduit checked to sync? If so, you can click on "Sync Settings" to get an informative dialog that tells you that you don't need to do anything further to synchronize the Windows and Windows Mobile editions of Vehicle Manager.

If you don't see it there, I suggest reinstalling Vehicle Manager on your PC doing a direct over-install. I think it would be a good idea to find and backup (to another file name like "My Vehicles.dat.save") your data file just as a precaution.

Lamar,

Thank you for the reply.

My 8525 is showing as connected and it is syncing, but I am only seeing VM in the Add Remove Programs list. Not in my list of thing to be sync`d.

I have tried reinstalling, but will definately try reinstalling it again.

Hi, Spyder,

If you back up your .dat file, you could try removing it in "Programs and Features" and then reinstalling it. When you first run it, it will ask if you want to use an existing .dat file, and you can point the program to it then.

Lamar,

Completely reinstalling both and doing the Desktop first has fixed the issue.

Thank you for your help.
