I'm using OE6SP1 with Agendus with the view to replace Outlook XP.
(We use an IMAP server, and OE6 does a much better IMAP job than OutlookXP)
However, this happens:
I'm using Shared Contacts between OE and Outlook, meaning registry key HKCU\Software\Microsoft\WAB\WAB4->Use Outlook=1. (this means I don't store any OE contacts - I'm using the default Outlook profile to access Personal Address books)
And of course, I'm using the Outlook sync option with Agendus.
Symptoms:
1) when I add a contact using Outlook XP, it appears in WAB.EXE (OE's address book)
2) when I add a contact from agendus, it appears in Outlook XP, but NOT in WAB.EXE (strange!)
I'm therefore assuming that agendus is missing a step when adding contacts to Outlook. Perhaps a "commit" step (akin to a .setinfo() in ADSI?) or an explicit "add" call?
I'm not sure but if you can help out this would be a great thing for IMAP users of the world - getting rid of the fat Outlook client and use Agendus/OE/Outlook PSTs as a combination - much more lightweight and effective.
thanks for your help.
