I have a Treo 750 with Agendus Pro and recently upgraded Agendus to 1.05v.
After the upgrade, even though the alarm is preset to remind me of any meetings, i dont hear the reminder alarm. I verified all known settings and couldnt find anything wrong.
Can someone please help resolving this issue.
Thanks

Can you give me more details as to how you set up the meeting and alarm.
(i.e. Did you set it to remind you in 10 minutes / 1 hour / 2 days, etc...).
Are you able to set an alarm for a task? Does it work?

Hi,
I usually set up meetings and reminders using my laptop outlook and sync it to my mobile device using active sync. Till couple of days it was working fine and after i installed Agendus 1.05v, the alarms stopped working for all Reminders, meetings, tasks etc. I usually set up the reminder as 5 mins before the start but i do get meeting notice with 15 mins reminder from other colleagues.
Also i have SPB Pocket plus installed in my mobile device but again there was no problem before when i had both pocket plus and agendus running together.
Please help.
Thanks
AyKay

This is a just a simple suggestion, have you checked your meeting reminder defaults on the pocket pc in Agendus? Are they showing 5 min?

Yes, I checked that first before posting the question in the forum :)

I figured, but I thought I would ask. :o
This is really weird that your alarms aren't working but if I understand you correctly, you have items that colleagues are sharing with you via outlook that are set for 15 min and those are working? Tell me if I am misunderstanding.

Hi,
No, none of the alarms are working. I tried setting up reminders alarms for tasks, meetings none of them is working and yes i agree it is weird but not sure what went wrong :)
Thanks

Hello,
I am not sure if this was due to the new version of Agendus pro or not, but when i did a soft reset, it came up with an error message when booting up again and the error message was "unable to open VoiceCommand.exe, please try opening it again later" + another similar error message.
So when i called the device support folks, they told me the only way to fix this is do a hard reset and bring it back to factory settings. I did that and it WORKED!!!!!
Now i have reinstalled all the applications i have before and everything seems to working fine. That is why i am not sure if my the previous install of agendus wasnt complete or got corrupted and now it got fixed by clean install.
Thanks to everyone who tried to help me out on this issue!!!!

That's great news, although it did require a hard reset :bulb:
When my alarms aren't working correctly, I can often trace it to a problem with the Windows Mobile "notifications"... there are utilities to remove duplicates and that tends to help for me.
I'm not sure if it's the same problem you were having, but it sounds pretty close ;)

Can you please give the steps to go the WM "Notifications" may be that might have done the trick instead of hard reset!

MemMaid is the best that I've used for notifications (it allows you to automatically select duplicates and remove them).
It will also let you see the details of the notification so that you can delete ones you feel are causing problems.
There was also a free download called "Notification Management" that I installed a little while ago. I can't honestly remember if this was from Microsoft or Dell :bulb:
PLEASE NOTE THAT MESSING AROUND WITH NOTIFICATION MAY REQUIRE YOU TO HARD RESET YOUR DEVICE AGAIN! PLEASE USE YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT IF YOU FEEL YOU WANT TO USE THESE.
If you search google for things like "windows mobile alarm not working" or something similar, you should have plenty of users giving their advice.

+1 to what EP says. I use MemMaid on my device and have for years! In fact, I am giving a try to handymenu and handyswitcher. Those are two programs, since they are made by the same developer, have a unique focus on not only providing task management, but also incorporates maximizing memory consumption in their products. They compliment MemMaid very nicely and use very little space on the device. :D
