I just installed the trial version of Health and Diet Manager on my storage card. Nice program

In the knowledge base it says

A file named HEALTH.DAT exists on your Pocket PC under \Program Files\Health&Diet (or the folder in which the program was installed). This file contains all the information you have entered into the program, including your profile, meals, daily journals etc. The file is about 4.5 MB in size.

Actually it seems that this file is located in root directory of memory and not in the location mentioned above. In fact since iambc has bought this program the path is now...

\Storage Card\Program Files\iambic\HealthMgr of course since it's not in memory it includes storage card in the path.

and the file name is no longer called health.data but I believe it's called healthmgr.dat.

Anyway I would think you want to have healthmgr.dat be on the storage card to save memory but it seems it is not...any way to move it there?

In all a very nice program and I have been looking for a program that keeps tabs of foods in this way..it
also would be great to have more graphics and have weekly summary of ww points.
I really like that the program automatically calculates ww points and I am surprised that ww organization has not been bugging iambic about this since they seem to have very tight control in this market.

Thanks

Hi, Kel,

Thank you. The Knowledgebase has been updated to the current version and the article now reads:

***
If you want to backup the data, follow the below instructions:

A file named HealthMgr.dat exists on your Windows Mobile Pocket PC or Smartphone in the My Documents folder in main memory. This file starts out being about 1.10 MB in size and will increase in size as you add information such as your profile, meals, exercise, and daily journals.

To back up the database, copy it to a storage card or to your desktop using ActiveSync. If you ever need to restore it, simply copy it back into the My Documents folder overwriting the file that may already be there.

As for getting in touch with us, please scroll down. At the bottom of every page I'm aware of on our website, there are links to "Support" and "Contact Us." It's not hard to do.

Is there away to move the HealthMgr.dat file to the storage card?

Thanks,

Not currently, and for performance reasons we probably would not recommend it anyway.
