I'm a WW fan and have been looking for a Windows Mobile friendly program to track points. I was about to purchase this software but read a review that said data entry might get tedius.
Is it possible to import Excel files into this program? I have MANY restaraunt lists that I'd love to import (as to save my fingers from entering so much information).
Any advice would be appreciated. Also, I thought there was a desktop companion for this app (a couple of verisons ago)... did that in fact go away? Will it ever come back?

Hi adexec32,
Thanks for your interest in Health and Diet Manager. I really can't comment on the tediousness of data entry. I personally don't have any problems with it. Do you have a touchscreen device or no?
Regarding importing Excel. This is not currently possible, but something on the drawing board for future consideration.
As far as the desktop edition, we hope to have a desktop companion, but at this time it is not available.

Thanks for your response, Michael. I do have a touchscreen device (Treo 700wx). Can you recommend shortcuts?
Also, encouraged that an Excel import feature and a desktop companion might be considered in the future.

good point on the desktop companion...and I am glad to see an excel import option on the horizon.
I just purchased this program and am using it to track ww points..
while I do have to enter new food items I find that once the basics are entered it works pretty well. You can have totals for the day but unfortunately not for the week unless it is by report -but I have not tried it yet. I looked around quite a bit and for a windows mobile solution I found this to be one I choose for tracking ww points.
There is another product that imports an excel spreadsheet but you had to manually enter points - HD calc calculates the points for you but I have had to go to entering the other nutritional parameters for the auto calc to work - which is not bad as that is easy to look up.

I agree that more Weight Watcher specific reports and graphs are needed. At least the ability to graph or report points would be a start. Tracking flex points for the week would be great.
