Michael - Another Request

In my business, I work in pounds...ie, 100,000 lbs for the year, or month, etc.

In the next update, please make a change so instead of dollars or whatever, allow the user to work in pounds.

Thanks for the feedback. So when you sell 100,000 lbs for the year, is there not a dollar value attached?

Give me an example of how you would use this, and even better, some other examples, besides 'pounds' that we might consider as well.

Hi Michael,

There are dollar amounts that may or may not be attached at the time of the entry. I might find an opportunity for 100,000 lbs of Citric Acid for the year. I might not know at the time the price I'll need to sell it or the amount of profit, commissions, etc, but I would like to keep track of how many pounds the opportunity is.

I'd like to also be able to see it on the front page as well. Currently, I have choices of Total, Comm, Profit, etc. I'd also like to see a choice of pounds here. Date - Customer - Pounds. Also, when logging an opportunity under Item, I'd like to be able to put pounds in there as well.

I'd like to be able to put in a quote price. I'd like to also be able to have a breakdown of my quote. Meaning, costs + profit + transportation costs = quote. I don't work with Sales Tax so it wouldn't help me, but it might help others. You might also have the ability to flag whether or not the price is delivered or f.o.b.

One of the sites that I have used in the past is salesforce dot com. This may provide some additional insights to other things you may want to consider.
