Unable to add exercises to the journal

I'm unable to add exercises to the daily summary.

I press New->Exercise, fill up the fields and when i press done, the screen goes back to the daily summary without the excerise added. I have no problems addings meals.

My version is 2.7 build 112 for WM5 Smartphone. My device is a HTC-S620.

Sorry you are having a problem. Can you tell me exactly your steps. I know it is a pain, but I want to enter exactly what you are doing and see if I can duplicate your problem. I can enter exercises fine so far, but there may be a certain combination that is causing the problem. Thanks!

Im not doing anything special whatsoever. On the daily summary screen, i press the left softkey on my phone which corresponds to "New", then select Exercise on the popup menu.

Then it returns to the daily summary screen, but no exercise is added. I have already deleted the HltMgr.dat file on My Documents and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app to my smartphone without luck.

If you add a meal or "other activity" will it show on your daily summary screen?

I don't have a smartphone, but I'm also not having the same problems that you are experiencing.

As Nancy requested, it would be helpful to give the details of the added record (the type of exercise, added notes, etc.).

Same Experience - Demo latest release on MotoQ.

I can add the Exercise as long as the time is after the last entry. Meals no problem. I was going to buy the software without demoing it then decided I would demo. This error is a deciding factor.

Ok i found the bug. I can't add exercises when the time is PM. When i try to excercises using AM time, it works. Any other field matters, it only doesn't work when the time is PM.

I've just tried adding an exercise and timed it PM, and it does appear in the Daily Summary. What are we missing? Shouldn't make any difference, but what specific exercise are you selecting?

Can you duplicate? My treo cannot. Michael should be able to test on his smartphone. Sounds like it is unique to SP.

I can't duplicate, but as Michael suggests, it might be the exercise being entered.

I'm leaning more towards a SP issue, but we will have to test that :up:

At least now i can fully use the software although with incorrect exercises hours. Still id like this issue fixed.

I suspect this will be "moderated" out as well. You also have an edit problem that when selecting:

butter, with salt > 1 tbsp changed from 1 cup the fat grams remain the same (impossible for a tbsp to have 184 grams of fat as the specific gravity of "fat" is no where near).

Less than 24 hours with this software and I have two "use" related bugs (as opposed to cosmetic or stability).

I have a similar issue with jxlarrea. However I can only add exercises when the time field in the edit exercise window says PM (not AM like him).

I notice that in the evening when I try to add an exercise the AMs and PMs are reversed. When the time is actually 11 pm the Edit Exercise box will report it as 11 AM. If I continue to enter the exercise and hit done it will just "disappear" and not change the journal. However if I just change the incorrect AM to a PM it will add the exercise to the Journal.

I also am using the MotoQ. It appears the software (or at least the add exercise portion) does not properly capture the time from that device and this screws up database entry.

Sorry to hear of the problem. I would suggest in the meantime to talk with support to see if they have any further trouble shooting ideas. Unfortunately, I haven't been about to duplicate this ...probably because I don't have a smartphone edition.

Also, you may be able to give them more info on how to reproduce it and then they can get the fix on the list sooner. http://support.iambic.com/

I have a Motorola Q and am experiencing this same problem.

I am unable to add exercises unless I enter a time as "AM"

Any exercises I attempt to add with a PM time just do not add.

This behavior is the same from New>Exercise and Menu>Add>Exercise

The version is the latest as of yesterday 11/4/07

Thanks for the report. I think Michael had been waiting on someone to tell him what exercises are being entered as he hasn't been able to get the same result. There must be something we are missing.

Our technical support is now provided through submitting a ticket ( the link is in my signature ). We can't fix this until we can duplicate it on our end so any further help you can give the tech support would be helpful.

I am having the same problem, only able to add exercises with AM time. It doesn't matter what kind of exercise I choose.

I have also sent you many more issues by email and posted to you forum, but no response! I am not happy with your support and consider to start looking for another product.
