Billrate Crash in Vista Business

I am using the most current version of Billrate in Windows Vista Business. 1.6 build 103. When I open the program and try to backup from a previous restore, the program shuts down and exits without warning. If I reopen the program and try to complete a backup, I get the same behavior. Other than manually copying the .dat file to the location where it's stored, I have no way to backup and restore data.

Sorry that I'm not able to help with the problem itself, but I'm not familiar with BillRate.
