I couldn't agree with you more completely. I have been an Agendus users since dot and as I prepare to move to a Blackberry Curve 8310 on September 1st, the thing that holds me back is no Agendus. The BB programs are crap looking and low in features compared to Iambic. Let's go Iambic!

So, when are you going to fix Agendus for Palm OS?

Adriano,
Can you comment on what titles may be coming?
Will there be a beta?
I moved to a Blackberry in March and there are only two things I miss after my 10 years with Palm OS.
One is a utility called ReDo, the other is Agendus. I participated in many of the Agendus Betas and would do so for the Blackberry (8800 on Cingular).

Bumping this question. Is there anytime frame on when Agendus might be availabe for Beta?
Also, would there be a discounted price for owners of Agendus for Palm that want to move over to the Blackberry OS.

Hi Mark,
There are always discounts available to current users who purchase cross platform. Please see this http://support.iambic.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=172&ratingconfirm=1 or refer to your "My Iambic Page" for Special Offers. Since Blackberry is not available, this point is moot. However, if one does come available in the future, it would be treated as those before.

I appreciate your response. I did fully expect that there would be a discount. Can someone comment on what products are being developed for the Blackberry (Hopefully Agendus) and an approximate time frame for a Beta or Production release? Will we see something before the end of the year?
There is a big hole in the Blackberry PIM market. PocketDay, which is available today, does some of the things that Agendus does, but not enough. There is also talk of some of the other WM PIMs going after the Blackberry market. I strongly believe that whoever gets their product to market in a reliable fashion will clean up in the market.
I truly loved Agendus on my plethora of Palm devices, and would like to get back to the level of PIM integration I enjoyed on my Treo's.

I'm trapped with my TREO till Agendus Premier comes out for the Blackberry. It's my lifeblood with all its intricacies that have taken so long to learn. Don't want to lose it--I assume nothing compares with it. Please please come out with premier for a blackberry so I can switch phones.

I agree with all the posts regarding Agendus on the Blackberries. DOn't worry about discounts until there is actually a product. Is Iambic just teasing us with the page for Blackberries.
I just switched to an 8830 with US Cellular service. I made that choice based upon the only alternative was the Q, which sucks as a device. I don't know anyone who is happy with their's. I love the 8830. I have had it a month and it has never crashed. The PIM part is AWFUL!!! I was using a Palm TX and one post said that Palm products aren't what they used to be. I couldn't agree more. I have had nothing but trouble with the TX since I bought it.
Make a product that starts with 4.0 and forward. People with those old BBs are going to migrating soon. The way that RIM is going after the consumer market now should boost sales. The people at the store I bought mine at said the 8830 was selling at 3 to 1 to the Q. It is $50 higher and the service is $15 a mointh higher!
Please do Agendus for BB!!! The trackball is a no brainer. On webpages you can even switch it to a pointer.

Thanks for comments. Sounds like a cool device. I know my husdand says that he sees everyone using them on his commute every morning. I don't have any further information for you at this time, but I wanted to acknowledge your comments. I would imagine that many factors are influencing the development. If there is a product page, then development is intent on working for this platform. I am sure that we will hear as soon as there is something to report.
I can certainly understand how difficult it must be to do without Agendus. Thanks for your enthusiam! It is appreciated.
I would love to hear more about what your ideas and feature requests would be knowing BB has some neat features.

The Blackberry devices are extremely stable - the biggest advantage that I see over the Palm OS devices I used for a decade. The weak PIM is the biggest limitation, but then again the Palm native PIM is kind of weak also, but having Agendus and other options available makes up for it.
In terms of feature set - I am looking for a very similar set to those available in Agendus for Palm OS.
> Ability to link contacts to meetings and tasks.
> Icons
> Multiple view capability with user defined task sort options.
> Ability inject Agendus based tasks and meetings from messages and phone calls (sort of a Your Call type function).
> An Agendus Today screen with ability to set up weather, stocks..... Customizable view order for meetings, tasks and the number of days and items to show.
That is what I can think of right now. I will add more as I think of it. Hopefully others from the Blackberry world would pile on. It might be a good idea to post a suggestions thread here or on Blackberryforums.com or pinstack.com.

Iambic Team,
Can you provide any update on Agendus for BB? Screen Shots? Projected date for a Beta?
Waiting as patiently as I can.

I must say that I too have switched from Palm and PPC to the BB 8830, and although the BB OS is very stable, it is also very simple in it's application. Most Programs for the BB are of the same nature, and I wonder if that is more a reflection of the BB OS?:weird:
I do look forward however to Iambic putting out an Agendus type PIM for the Blackberry...and hopefully you can add the same artistry to the BB version of Agendus as you have with the PPC, and most especially, the Palm OS.
Good luck... Looking forward to the Beta.:)

Since you posted the blackberry page... I have been checking your site for updates every other day. I am in great need for the PIM such as yours. I've been using pocket day for past couple of months but I stopped and went back to the BB stock calendar application.
Just to let you know, Pocket Informant has now posted their PIM screenshots on their website and told some forums that the product will launch before the end of the year.
Help me out here... before I spend money on another PIM, please provide some screen pic or features on your site???

Skittles - I totally agree with you.
If PI comes out first and delivers the key PIM functions - I am in.
Please show us some love and provide screenshots of Agendus for Blackberry (my preferred PIM)

Okay - Now that Agendus for Windows Version 5 has been releseased, please tell me that the next Beta will be Agendus for Blackberry!!!!!!!!
I need this - it will be a great seller if and when you can provide it to the market. The Blackberry PIM market is greatly underserved. PocketDay is okay, but it is not Agendus by any stretch of the imagination.
As an FYI - there is an email viewer for the BlackBerry called Empower (www.getempower.com) that will work with developers to integrate their viewer. It would be nice if Agendus for BB did this.

I am also a long time Agendus user from back when it was called Action Names and recently moved from my Treo 680 to Curve 8320 and also really miss Agendus. Agendus was the one app that kept me on the Treo for so long but now that I have true multitasking, a really good IM client (now that VeriChat is gone), great push e-mail all running on a device that doesn't crash once a day I don't think I will go back. PocketDay, the closest thing to Agendus there is on the Blackberry, is a very poor competition to Agendus.
I hope the Iambic people get Agendus for Blackberry out soon!

I don't have any information to share regarding your requests at this time. I am sorry. I would imagine that this information will come forth once they are able to share it.

As mentioned by Skittles above there is another proven developer working towards a full featured PIM for the Blackberry OS. I believe that many of the people looking for something that is above the standard BB PIM and above PocketDay are looking here and at the site of the developer of Pocket Informant to see who brings their product to market first. Both are coming from developers that have been able to deliver. The PI site has some screen shots, and I was hoping for a sneak peek of what Iambic has in store for us.
This thread has went quiet since Adriano's post on November 6th, is there anything new that can be shared with potential customers? Is it even a version of Agendus that you are coming to market with? Is it a different development?
