Hi
I am using Agendus Pro 1.1 on WM 6 on an HTC Touch. I have selected Agendus as the default PIM in Menu - Preferences - Programs. Agendus is appearing as the default contacts manager on the right hand soft button on the HTC home screen but the calendar soft button on the left side still brings up the WM 6 calendar app. Have you any idea how I might change this.
Thanks

Hi Henden,
Yes, others with the HTC have had this same issue and it has been reported. Can you tell me if you can map that left key to other shortcuts? Or do you have to have third party software to do this? One suggestion would be to remap that to another shortcut that does activate Agendus on the device if there is one ...for instance the startmenu shortcut to Calendar or just map it to Agendus shortcut in the Startmenu directly.

Hi Nancy
No, there doesn't seem to be any way for the user to map the soft keys to programs of their choice. i have not seen any 3rd party app to do it either, if you know of one please let me have a link.
Thanks
Nick

Hi Nick,
You can do a google on remap soft keys and all sorts of stuff pops up. Personally, I have tried them all but the one i currently use is AE Button Plus which is in the last link. There are others too if you look on Handango.
I even refinded my search and got this one too. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&q=remap+soft+keys+htc+&btnG=Search

I too have had problems mapping the left soft-key on a Cingular 8100, (which I believe is made by HTC). I was able to edit the registry, (be careful as a faulty registry entry can cause serious problems).
However, I do not know the path to launch the calendar application of Agendus directly. I now have it mapped to open Agendus generally which opens to the last used Agendus function.
Can anyone please help with the path to open directly to the calendar function?
Thanks.

Hi jaystoeg,
There is no function possible at this moment in time that will control which view Agendus opens. However, there is a way around this if, and only if, your startmenu "Calendar", "Tasks" or "Contacts" do already open Agendus corresponding views. On some devices, even though the softkey doesn't work some of the other shortcuts to the PIM items will work. If they don't then there is no way to do it at all. I have already taken the liberty to request this functionality so that the user can open Agendus to a view of their choice, which is excellent for key mapping...as you know.

Nancy,
Thanks for the quick response!
Do you know how the right soft key maps directly to "Contacts" after choosing the "Made Agendus Default PIM" in the preferences?
I tried to search the registry, but could not find a key for this.
Changing the preference does not affect the left soft key on the Cingular, that required a registry edit as I stated in my last post. However, the preference does map the right soft-key directly to Agendus contacts.
Your knowledge and willingness to share is greatly appreciated!

Jaystoeg,
Other than a registry hack or button mapping program, that is the only way to map keys.
That is what we are referring to. Some keys don't respond to make Agendus the default PIM. The HTC seems to have a OS change that doesn't allow for some keys to link to Agendus even after it is set to default PIM.
Don't know specifically for your device other than to refer to the links to see if there is anymore specific mention of your device. Google is your friend. ;)

Hi all,
There is a new beta that adds some default PIM functions. If you want to try it to see if anything is working any better, feel free. It most likely won't correct the situation, but it is always good to try the betas to see if anything helps the situation. http://support.iambic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32415

I thought I had this problem but I may have been just a bit daft - not that I'm suggesting you have been! By going to 'Start'>'Settings'>'Personal'>'Today'>'Items' I found I still had checked 'Vodafone Calendar [my SP is Vodafone] and had not checked 'Calendar', By unchecking that and checking 'Calendar' that is now my default calendar on the start screen.

Thanks for the update Paul. So are you saying you can now activate Agendus as the default?

Yes, I'd just failed to select it as the calendar item in the Today area of settings.
