I have just purchased propel, however my problems have started with the install. First I am using a Palm LifeDrive with all the current updates, now when installing propel it says scanning SD card since there is not one in I assume it is the internal 4g drive. The fist time I saw this I just left my office and continued to work, I arrived 2.5 hours latter and it was still scanning figuring this must be a lock up I rebooted and the propel program started and seemed to work just fine. Over many crashes I can only use propel for voice activation launching well ok I got taken when buying this software and I can live with the voice activation launching however when I hot sync the lifedrive always locks because the old screen about scanning SD card comes on. If anyone can help me get the software working I will be grateful else I will have to delete the software. I work a full time job here at Troy University and at night I adjunct in the music department so I really don’t have time for this type of problems maybe I just made a bad choice thinking palm would have fewer problems than a pocket pc. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Also I use Agendus, and documents to Go however Docs to go is rarely used.

Hi,

sorry you are having troubles - propel should work great on a lifedrive (I have one)

You are right about the sd being the internal drive. As far as the palm os is concerned, that drive is exactly the same as an sd card, so propel just manages it like one.

re the lock up - the scanning should take about a minute (depending on how many files you have) so it is definitely locked up.

the first thing I would try is just deleting and re-installing just in case that helps.
Normally when propel gets locked while scanning, it is because it comes across a corrupt part of the drive that it can't scan. That seems unlikely on the internal drive though.

You can certainly stop the auto scanning; It is in the launching options (update list after hotsync)

let us know if that helps...
