Setting Categories in Contacts view

When I change to the contacts view the filter has been set on a category.

If I tap the category name to change the filter the device reboots.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for reporting this, we have not been able to reproduce it. It must be related to your particular address book database. If you could send us the addressdb.pdb file from your Palm to qa@iambic.com we'd appreciate it. Also if there are any specific steps to reproduce this problem such as does the contact database have to be grouped by a particular field or does this only happen with a certain category.

You can extract this file from your Palm by copying AddressDB.pdb to a memorystick with MSGate if using a Clie then us MSImport to access the memorystick with your PC.

Or you can use BackupBuddy.

Or you can use the attached RsrcEdit.prc application to locate the AddressDB.pdb file and check the backup box and press apply. Then on your PC move the addr20.dll and addcn30.dll out of your Palm folder then hotsync. You'll then find this file in \Palm\<username>\backup

I have similar problem.
On my Clie NX70V, it freezed when I tapped Category pull down.
I did not changed filter, just after changed to Contact List.

Hi,

I have been able to reproduce this if using a ROM in Japanese. If either of you are not using Japanese ROMs then please let us know what language your device is in.

I get this with a US Palm Tungsten

I am also using a UK Tungsten

And have same bug with a Tungsten running Portuguese OS.
