I just downloaded VM 3.31 Build 108 (I had 3.3.Build 104). Before I do my first sync, I wanted to ask whether the disappearing data problem has been resolved in this release.

I see a couple of posts covering issues that I have had. I have seen the ActiveSync error referenced on some other posts. However, more disturbing is that sometime this week I seem to have lost all of my 2007 data! My vehicle still shows 2006 entries, but nothing starting in 2007. Is this the same kind of thing referenced in this thread?
Unfortunately, I had not read the thread on how to backup my data, so I think I am out of luck. My desktop and handheld both match (i.e., both are missing the data). Does anyone have any suggestions other than re-entering the data (assuming I can find the receipts)?
I am new to the forums, so I would appreciate any tips on support options too.

Rob, I would suggest you submit a ticket to: http://support.iambic.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit
Please include your Vehicle Manager .dat file with the ticket so someone on the support staff can look at the file.
Unfortunately, I am not able to offer suggestions as to getting back your previous data file, but perhaps there may be clues in that .dat file.
Please try to be as specific on the support ticket as to the type of device you are using (and what version of Windows Mobile you have), your active sync version, operating system, etc.
Tracey, I would suggest backing up your data before syncing as this issue is still being investigated to find the exact cause of the data loss.
