Well, I finally restored my older 1.51 for all o fthe reasons previously cited in these threads - the Iambic product just does not offer the same functionality as the original product from Two Peaks - HOW COLD YOU GUYS MESS BILLRATE UP SO MUCH?!?!?! - - Anyway, the final straw was trying to get it to run on my newest PocketPC phone from T-Mobile, the Wing (manufactured by HTC). The program simply would not run. Fortunately the underlying data was compatible with version 1.51, so I lost no data in downgrading. Plus, the sync problem and billing amount problem which were not present in 1.51 has enabled me to bill for my services once again without any hassle.

I like BillRate but when things don't work and you guys call it a "feature" then your credibility comes into question. I am preparing a review for 2 major PocketPC websites regarding BillRate 1.61, and it is going to be HIGHLY negative - - from basic product functionality to response time from tech support. You could give it away for free, and I still not recommend it to anyone. If you guys want to talk about the problems, a timeline for a new release, beta testing one with improvements, etc., please don't hesitate to call or email me.

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear you're having such problems with BillRate on your new phone. I am able to use BillRate on WM6 devices without any problem. When you say it would not "run" do you mean it wouldn't launch?

Can you please submit a ticket (http://support.iambic.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit) and attach your BillRate.dat file from My Documents, either from the PC or the phone? Also, after doing that please reply here with the ticket number you were provided? If you still have a .dat from the Two Peaks version that has not been used in our updated version, that would be helpful as well.

Finally in your ticket submission, please also reference the URL of this thread.

Thanks.

Once the program was "X'd" I could not get back into it or relaunch it without rebooting the PPC. This was reproducible - that's why I noted the exact phone/PPC model. In any case, if the hooks into WM6 aer not generic enough or use an old .Net framework, this kind of problem will result. I would like to know whether it has been addressed and corrected in 1.62.

Thank you!
