View Full Version : How do I import data

I searched the manual. I can't find any item about importing data. I have all my data since 1995 in an excel spreadsheet. The web page says data can be imported, but I don't see anything in the manual about how to import or migrate.
I looked at the web page again and didn't see anything about importing. (I was SURE I did. That's why I downloaded the Windows version.)
Whether I'm going crazy or not, my question now is, is there a way to import my old data? If so, how?

Dana Welcome,
I only see an option to import older .dat files. Now, with that said, is there some way to take an excel file and convert to .dat? I am curious as well since I do not use VM. Stanby.

The import would be REALLY nice, but what would be nicer would be if it showed MPG. That a hugely important thing to me and I don't know why I didn't see that it was missing. It's a very cool, very well done program, but it really needs these two features before it would be worth buying. Can they be added, and if so, when would it be available.
I have a great program on my PC, but not on my Q where I want it.

Hi,
I have confirmed that you cannot import to VM from csv at the present. However, it is on the list for a future release. I do not have a date at this time.
We will let customers know what features and fixes we are working on when we release our next beta. The items will be included in the beta posts so that people can see what is currently being implemented, partially implement and so on.
I would invite you to take advantage of the beta testing when it becomes available.
