Contact 'number' popup arrow takes up too much space!

Why did you folks change it from when tapping on the contact phone number would pop up all the numbers/email addresses to having a separate arrow there for that purpose?

It takes up more space that could be allocated to the number itself. I used to be able to see entire phone numbers on the contact line itself; now I HAVE to tap on the popup arrow to see it.

Bad design decision, I think.
