Hi mgl007,
What to do you want to import from to what device? I think you are saying you can export to csv, excel and want to know if you can import it into VM?

Yes that is correct. I want to import data into PVM.

A keyword search of "import" brought up the following:

In short not yet. Import CSV on our list.

I'll buy as soon as you make the import option available! I've too much data already this year to switch by retyping it all! :-)
Thanks!

I am a long term Palm OS user with a Mac desktop. I currently use MPG and would consider moving to Vehicle Manager if I could import my existing MPG data into VM AND continue to export VM data in a form importable into Excel. MPG has a conduit which creates and exchanges data with a .tdf file on my Mac which I can import into Excel. Aside from the ability to export data to Excel, I do not need a desktop application and I am happy managing all my vehicle data on the Palm. The lack of an equivalent to the Windows desktop application is therefore not an issue for me, provided I can import data to and export data from VM on the Palm. This seems to be lacking or am I missing something?

I could be wrong, but that is generally the point of having the desktop component - so you can do things like import or export data.

The PVM desktop component does much more than enable importing and exporting. MPG has the ability to import and export (synching between a file) but does not have a desktop application. To view or manipulate the data, they would need to be displayed in another application such as Excel. Only importing and exporting data is essential to me so I do not need a Mac equivalent of PVM for Windows.

Hi,
Just a reminder that we currently have Import to CVS on our list as I have stated above.
I see reference to PVM. That would be the name that it had when it was sold by Two Peaks. Is that the version you are using?
When Iambic bought it the name was changed to simply VM.

Yes, but the export to CSV feature will be for the desktop version, not the Palm version. So you will still need a Mac equivalent of VM for Windows.

Ah I see, I missed the part about wanting a direct device solution.
